Southwest flights in August have dropped!!!

I posted awhile back about my first flight dropping from $137 to $79. About one week later my second flight has dropped also to $79. We now have a credit with southwest of $580!!! Where should we go?? I was thinking hubby and myself, beach somewhere with a drink in hand...

Unfortunately there won't be another trip to Disney in our near future. We scheduled this trip for August only because it's too hard to take kids out of school for a week. Oldest is entering high school and the two others are already in middle school. I believe we have to use the credit within one year of our booking...which was March 30th.

We are going to try Universal for three days, for the first time, before our Disney trip. So if everyone loves it,we may have to book a long weekend back there!!!

I would much prefer the beach with hubby and drink!!!

I just purchased yesterday, so of course they dropped today! Lol thanks for the heads up the July dropped $10 each, but the august fare dropped from $134 to $89 so that was a big savings...or not since it is credit I will have to use to plan a trip I wasn't planning on taking!

We don't like to take our kids out of school either. But we do for a couple of days before President's week. Next year we are having them miss 2 days. We already booked our flight for the way down on late afternoon 2/15/2012. My kids said the last few days before vacation they don't do much at school anyway. Leaving a few days before school vaca also cuts the cost of flights down.

I just checked Aug ...thought maybe if I could snag some 89 fares, Id take a trip down, no such luck, everything that I needed would cost us over 800 rt for the 3 of us, I just won't do it.....

That happened to me last year and so I just planned a last minute trip a month ago for next month to Disney to use up all the credits. 2 roundtrip tics to Disney cost me only $39! Plus I got a pin code from Disney, along with my annual passes....couldn't pass that one up!

You could fly to FLL, rent a car and drive to one of the Keys.

I wondered about that, I was kinda bummed cause it was less than 24 hours!
