Southwest Flights Changing?

I booked our flights to MCO from FNT a few weeks ago for 2/21-2/28. Nonstop both ways. Just happened to log into my account & it keeps giving me an error when I try to see my itinerary. On the mobile app it shows us as flying and returning both on 2/21. When I search to book for those dates, the flight times are drastically different and the flights we originally booked are no longer available.

Has anyone else had their Feb or Mar SW flights change?

Yes, Southwest changes and eliminates flights occasionally. In March 2012, I booked a roundtrip flight for September from PHL to SNA for my first Disneyland trip. I booked the flights on the first day that schedule opened up.
In May, I randomly checked on the prices and discovered that my flight home had been cancelled. I had to book my flight home on US Air, which cost
$ 150.00 more and was the worst flight of my life on a 30+ year old tin can with a dirty ashtray in the armrest. I hope you have better luck in solving your transportation problem. :wave2:

A bunch of us on the Disboards had our December flights changed and saw similar errors when we tried to check. They contacted me to change my husbands flight, and my children's flights but not mine. We were all on different reservations because of the way I booked. I ended up on the phone with them a few times to straighten it all out.

A word of caution… make sure they transfer your EBCI over when/if they change your flight. They did my husbands, but not mine or the kids. Easy enough to call them and add it back on BUT.. I am pretty sure EBCI works by the order it was purchased. If so, I would have been pretty close to the top having purchased the morning the flights opened. Not anymore because they messed around with my reservations and added it back on after I called 2.5 months later. It's not the end of the world, but it's annoying and because we are all on different reservations, DH will have a way higher number than the kids or I now most likely.

Finally got through on the phone & got everything sorted out after a long process. Our reservation # showed us booked on multiple flights so after some checking they called me back to say our original flights were cancelled and we were rebooked on the new nonstop flight times. The new flight times were horrible so we are now booked out of a different city with no extra charge. Hoping those flights don't change as well.

It's a shame that SW used to be counted on for not changing flights and now they are like the rest.

I just checked my October flights, it was the first time I've seen the new site. I have to check my settings, I thought I was on 200% everything is so big.

Me too and I still havent found Travel Tools to check for next release date

Southwest was AMAZING when they changed our flight home for Thanksgiving this year. They personally called me and left voicemails twice, checking to see if the new flight met our needs, and when I called to talk to somebody, they changed my flight for free. When I flew Delta, I was lucky to get an email.

I just received a new itinerary in my email this morning. Same flights as original poster, and the new times don't work at all! They were first thing in the morning down, and late afternoon back. Now they're the opposite.
Southwest certainly didn't call me to make sure I was happy. I've got a party of 8 with two in wheelchairs for a full week of pampering my inlaws and this throws everything off. Ugh I want to puke. I did my part and booked well ahead.:sick:

All airlines let you make a free change or will refund your ticket when they make significant schedule changes. This isn't unique to Southwest.

I just logged into my southwest account and my flight home shows my original time however if I try searching for a new res with the same flight my return flight is leaving at 12PM instead of 11:20AM (40 minutes later). I didn't receive any notice of the flight change nor did my reservation show the new time. Anybody else notice this?

The person my husband talked to today said that we could expect two or three more flight changes between now and February. Either she was blowing smoke or they're in the process of rearranging a LOT of flights.

We are now on a flight with a layover at roughly the same time as our first flight for the way down, but we opted to extend our trip by a day to have a nonstop flight on our way home. I'm quite irritated that I paid for non stop and am not getting it; we can't leave a day earlier, though.

........

Probably true; the completion of the merger with AirTran is going to cause a few bumps.

We live closer to GRR than FNT so to not be stuck with the new crappy times we changed airports. When I originally called they had no idea what was going on & why we were showing as booked on multiple flights so that is why they had to do further investigating and call me back. I'm glad I happened to look & was able to rebook our group of 6 to something else. The flight times out of GRR are nonstop first thing in the AM down and evening nonstop back, might be worth to change airports instead of doing a layover

I thought about it, but we are only 20minutes or so from flint, and a little over 2 hours from Grand Rapids. That nonstop was awful early once I added in drive time. Dtw had some direct flights; that was my plan b...(c? Lol) .I really didn't want to give up the nice, tiny airport with parking right out front unless I had to :)

We have a Southwest flight in February that changed. They called and gave me options to switch to. The rep was very nice and luckily there was a non-stop leaving just an hour earlier than original flight.

Southwest called me yesterday and told me about my flight leaving later than expected. They said i could change the flight for free to another one but i kept it since it was only 40 minutes later.

Both of our flights out of FNT for January were also changed. I was excited for the 6am flight down, and having a full day on arrival. I changed ours to the evening before and we will find a hotel near the airport now.
