i purchased six tickets all together for six family members and paid for EBCI for all six. Does this mean that our boarding numbers will be consecutive?

They should be - I have purchased ebci many many times and only a couple times were our numbers not consecutive and even then there was only 1 person in between us. IMHO not something to worry about
