I don't normally book my airfare too far ahead of my trip however, this next trip is during the holidays and I'm a little worried about prices going up. I know that if I book through Southwest and the price goes down, I can get a credit but I would be booking two tickets (one for me and one for my daughter), so how would it work? Could I use the full credit (my daughters and mine combined) or would we each have individual credits? ex. if the fare drops $25 each can I later use the the full $50 myself, since it is all on my credit card or because $25 is in my daughter's name does it have to be used by her?

Credits are only valid for the individual they were issued to. So you cannot combine credits issued to separate passengers. It did not used to be this way but they recently changed their policy regarding credits.

The credit also has to be used within 1 year of the original booking date, not the date of travel. I missed this little piece of info and missed out on cashing in our credit. :(

Travel has to be completed within one year of the original booking date.
