We just became DVC members, so we have been going to Orlando about twice a year since. Here is the problem - the Southwest credit.
After I book my airfare, I always seem to get a better price and end up with Southwest credit. The problem is when it expires.
For instance, if I bought tickets in July 2005, they went on sale and I got the credit (which would expire in July 2006 - one year after the original purchase date). So, we would apply that credit to our next flight. Then, the flight from the second trip goes on sale, and we get a credit, it will also expire on July 2006 (one year from the original date).
Does that make sense to you? Have you had this happen toyou? How do you avoid this?
Any suggestions?

yes this has happened to me before. Right now I have 4 TTF credits that I need to use once and for all! SW will extend the expiration one time for you if you call. Three of the TTF I have were set to expire this June, but I called and they sent me vouchers that now expire on 12/31/07.

I think what I will do once I book our flights for August is use all the TTF together on one or two fares.(I am booking each of us separately and as one ways - 8 one way fares total) That way is a Ding comes along, I will proabably only change the fares that I used cc to pay for, then the TTF will be good for a year from the date of purchase.

Or, I will change all the fares then use the resulting TTF from the fares I used the soon to expire TTF to pay for and apply it towards the fares I used the cc to pay for, but that is rather confusing and time consuming I think.
