I tried to do a search but there are so many posts on credit cards it was hard to find an answer to my question:

My wife and I both have our own Southwest Priority Credit cards. Since we have been married, we have maintained separate finances for reasons I won't go into. However, there are many expenses we share and we would like to open a joint credit card for those reasons. We prefer the Southwest cards because while I know there are better "value" cards out there, we travel on SW quite a bit and we love the flexibility that the Southwest points allow when we are booking/canceling/rebooking flights. From researching, it seems like the Chase Sapphire card allows points you earn to transfer directly to Southwest points on a 1 to 1 basis. For those of you with Sapphire experience, is this a slam dunk or are there pitfalls transferring from Sapphire to SW points?

I've transferred from Sapphire Preferred card to SW when I needed some points. It is easy and no problem. You may find there are other good ways to use those UR points also. It is also possible to book SW flights through the Chase portal by calling them. Sapphire preferred has a nice sign up bonus right now if you can meet the spending requirement.

I've also had no issues transferring points from the Sapphire Preferred to my Southwest account. I did it just a few weeks ago and it was pretty instant.

Does Chase Sapphire UR points transfer easily to SW? The answer is yes. But maybe it is just semantics of what you are looking for, but Chase does not have joint credit cards. One of you can get the CSP (Chase Sapphire Preferred) and add the other as an authorized user (AU), but know that legally the AU does not have any responsibility to pay the bill should something happen. Maybe I am looking too much into your question though. I am not sure what you are after specifically, but if you want a lot of UR points, one of you can apply for the CSP and spend to get the bonus and then support Player 2 to open up the same card and get the bonus again. I am assuming you did something similar with the SW cards, so maybe you know that. You can add each other as AUs, but if you know anything about the Chase 5/24 rule and may want more cards down the line, then that might not be the best plan of action. Feel free to join us on the Credit card thread and ask questions there.

ETA - I realize you just said Sapphire. There are 2 Sapphire products - CSP at $95AF and a CSR at $550AF. Either one earns UR points. There is also the Freedom, Freedom Unlimited, Ink Business Preferred, Ink Business Cash and Ink Business Unlimited that also earn UR points.
