My friend and I are going to Disney together, and we are meeting at the airport and then flying together. We live about 4 hours apart. Anyways, I have not had any experiece with Southwest so I just had a few questions. We are both going to purchase out tickets online, but separately. I have the 25 off discount code, but my friend does not. Will she be able to use the same code as I am? or does she need her own? Also, does Southwest allow you to choose your seats at the time of booking? and does it cost extra? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Your friend would need a code of her own, unless you want to buy the tickets together.

With SW you do not buy seats. When you check in for your flight, you are assigned a boarding number in class A,B, or C. It depends on when you check in for your flight, the earlier, the better, and you can check in 24 hours before your flight time. If you purchase Early Bird Check In (EBCI), that automatically checks you in 36 hours before the flight, so you will probably be in the A boarding group. I think if both of you check in at the 24 hour mark, you won't have a problem getting seats together.

just recently flew south west boston to minneapolis highly recommend Early bird check in!!! i was in the A group no higher then 36 on both legs of my trips both coming and going
