I just realized that I have a $20 code for SW that I forgot to use (I was so excited about the great price the code did not even cross my mind). Anyway I tried to do a change flight but it does not let me add the code - is there a way to do it as a change?

If I can't do it as a change does nyone know how long it takes to get a credit if I cancel the reservation?

I just found another discount I could've used as well. I just canceled my flight and rebooked. You can cancel within 24 hours of booking and get a refund, or you will be credited the amount for a future trip. I tried to add the code after and it wouldn't let me do it either, that's why I had to cancel and rebook. Luckily the flights/prices were the same. Hope that helps.

It has been over 24 hours for me ;) I am just worried that the credit will not show up right away since I want to rebook before the good rates are gone.

edit - I just bit the bullet and cancelled/rebooked. I was shaking :lmao: but it was automatic - I cancelled and the money was there, now our flights are down to $198 r/t :thumbsup2

AWESOME!!!!! That is the rate we got as well..definitely the lowest airfare direct to MCO we've ever had.

Was it a round trip coupon or one way??

If it's a roundtrip, you generally can only change on leg at a time. So that's probably why the code didn't go through, since you were only rebooking a one way.

I'm not entirely sure, but it's a possibility. Can I ask what code you found?

I wanna know too!!! What other discount are you all using? I booked mine the other day when someone posted the fares had dropped from DEN to MCO. But our return flight is still $195 :sad2: I need some help getting that leg for less!! Please share!!

I know! I am driving DH crazy telling him about it - over and over lol!

I got my code from My Coke Rewards. It is a one time use only but I do have an extra one - I offered it to a friend already but if she does not need it I can pass it on to someone here :grouphug:

It is $20 off however many tickets you buy - there are 3 of us so we saved $60. It does expire July 31st and you have to fly by November 15th and there are a couple of blackout dates. Great deal for a big family!

I am so wishing we drank Coke :rotfl: Couldn't use a discount like this if you've already purchased the tickets though, right? And it's been over 24 hours for me.

I still need to get 2 tickets for this trip and this would come in most handy if it's extra. Going to wait for their anniversary sale and see if we can get as low or lower fares although I think we got the best deal for sure!!! You can PM me if you'd like to :hippie:

Oh, so you just cancel the reservation and rebook with the coupon?? Oh my goodness, this would save us $100 :woohoo: If anyone has one to spare, please pm me!! Is there no other way to get this kind of code other than Coke?

That is what I did - cancel and rebook. If before 24 hours they give you a refund, after 24 hrs they give you a credit that you can apply to your next flight. It was automatic - all you need is the confirmation number for the original flight. I don't know if there is another code floating around but this is the only one I know of.

From your ticker it looks like maybe October is your time frame?

I haven't found anything less than $400 for our fall trip!!!!!!! I guess my timing is off
:confused3

Wow nice code. How many points did it take to get to that??

I remember watching the custodians at Disney twist off the caps to the bottles, to collect the points. I just don't drink enough to make it worth the effort.

Our time frame is Oct-Nov and got that great rate. I did talk to a SWA agent who confirmed that they will have their Anniversary Sale mid-late June. Since they will extend their travel calendar on the 4th, I'm hoping to find the same or better rates at that time. If I do i am going to cancel and rebook my flights with the SWA coupon.

I actually got 100 points very quickly (4 12 packs & signing up for SWA frequent flyer account) so I think it's doable in a fairly short period of time. It was very easy and got the coupon code immediately. All this changing and booking is exhausting..but the savings are absolutely AMAZING!!!:woohoo:

We are going late Sept - early Oct. Last I checked they only had dates up to Nov 2nd. I think a lot of ppl are waiting for the anniversary - but that might be a madhouse trying to get on their site that day.

It is only 100 points :thumbsup2 DH and I both work at a cafe and everyone who works there knows I collect the caps so they hold them for me :grouphug:

This year, the prices seem to be sky high if you're planning 3 or so months in advance.

I'm waiting for July prices to fall, they've been in the upper $200 range, now there's a few scattered dates below the $150 mark. Even my flight here was still pricier than usual by about $30 or so.

Too bad the sale at Tom Thumb is for Pepsi products, they have buy 2 get 2 free on 12 packs, plus a free bag of chips.

I was afraid to try this because there was some disclaimer about some flights being excluded. We don't fly Southwest very often because we have to drive 200 miles to get to an airport they fly from. I didn't realize it applied to all tickets. It would have been an easy $60 saved.

I booked mine this afternoon using the Coke code. It was good on every flight listed for both ways.

It lowered the base price, by $10 each way, so for the 2 of us, it worked out to a $43 discount with the tax :goodvibes
