Southwest boarding

We usually end up with mid to high B's and have always been able to find seats together

I have no issue flying southwest. They are often the cheapest fare from our airport with the most variety of flight times.

Two other huge considerations: 1) 2 bags fly free and 2) you can change flights with no penalty or change fee (can even get a credit good for a year if the price goes down). Hard to pass those things up.

I agree, we have flown other airlines with assigned seats but the cost for our size of family means less money for extras on vacation. Also we found by the time we paid for luggage we had almost double the fare price of SW.
This trip one suitcase alone is our DD's princess dress for BBB. It is the Cinderella from the live action and when we got it in the mail there was some sort of hoop in the skirt of the dress. It is beautiful but will take up a whole suitcase to avoid flattening it. Luckily we don't have to worry about the cost for a suitcase with just a princess dress or my DH would veto taking it.

Just as an FYI though, those hoops can usually be smushed down and the whole thing put into one of those roll-up space bags.

We were not able to find even two seats together on our last return flight from MCO. We were towards the end of the Bs, but practically all the middle seats were left open when we boarded.

Yeah, we *might* have needed a princess gown suitcase a time or two in the past......

Just as an FYI though, those hoops can usually be smushed down and the whole thing put into one of those roll-up space bags.
