Southwest boarding pass question

Hi All!
Just wondering if I check in at the 24hr mark and print my boarding passes at home. Then how soon should I get to the airport? The same two-three hours before? And also will there be a different line for us to check our luggage? Thanks!

The luggage depends on your airport - here at home (FLL) we can do kiosk bag check in. When I departed Providence, I had to wait in line, check in the bags and bring them for the security scan - couldn't go to the gate until I got the A-OK from the TSA.

Generally when I'm flying Southwest, I don't have a check-in bag, so I arrive 1 1/2 hours before my flight but I'm anal about getting an exit row seat so I like to be towards the head of the "A" line

It depends upon the airport. At most, there are two lines - one for kiosk check-in, and another if you need help with tickets or something. If that's the case, you wait in the kiosk line, give your name/reservation number, and punch in how many bags you have. A SW gate attendant will then print out the routing tags for your bags, and either take them, or have you deliver them to TSA.
