I was surprised to get such a high number when I was up early this morning to print my boarding passes for a 6:40am flight tomorrow morning. I waited and waited until the moment it opened and signed in but received A47 for the boarding number.

I have heard the first 16 seats are reserved for business travellers but is there any chance these work in reverse starting with the highest number per class and count backwards? I know... it is a longshot! ;)

Sorry they go in numerical order! Don't worry though. If you are flying out of Manchester then it is unlikely that the plane originated from somewhere else that early in the am so you should have no trouble getting decent seats.

Must be alot of DISers on your flight..:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

When a friend and I flew SW in late June, we had low B's both times, had no problem getting seats, in fact we got exit row both times. There were plenty of seats available in the back half of the plane (we were heading for the exit rows so didn't look for seats in the front).

Dh and I had B19 and 20 for 8/1 (too busy at Adventurer's Club to hit 24 hours exactly). We still got exit row!

We've had middle B's before and still were able to get four seats together. If you are traveling along, you should be able to get a window or aisle in your preferred section of the plane; just maybe not the exact row

Is your flight a connecting flight from somewhere else I wonder? They may be picking up folks at an airport before you so they would already have the low a's? For example, when I flew to CA in may, we changes planes in midway, so I already had boarding passes for that flight, and since I was able to check in 24 hours prior, I got lower then the other folks would...

Or there could be just that many people right at 24 hours :) :goodvibes

A couple of months ago I had A 35 from Vegas to Indy and still got an exit row aisle seat.

Yep. That does happen. The passengers connecting at the airport after starting their flights somewhere else will use some of the lower numbers on a flight.
