Southwest and ME

Does Southwest now participate in ME or do I need to pick up my bags from baggage claim at MCO? I know I've seen threads on this but now I can't find any.

ALL airlines participate on the way TO MCO. So no matter what airline you fly on, if you use the yellow ME tags, you do not have to get your own bags.

The participation has to do with when you leave Disney. On some airlines, you can check your bags at the resort and check in for your flight (kind of like curbside check in, but at the resort, not at the airport). This is called "resort airline check in" and with SW you cannot do this yet.

So, if you put the yellow tags on your bags when you leave your home airport, you DO NOT have to get them from luggage claim at MCO, no matter which airline you use.

I read something on another site saying so people were told by a CM that SWA would be participating in full soon.

As it stands your arrival is like everyone else. But on your trip home you have to check you own bags in.
