Thanks for the heads up.

I don't like to "burn" frequent flyer tickets when I can get cheap FL fares.

I can't get a good fare on my return flight, I booked the one way internet rate and will use my RR ticket (2 people) for the return.

Where are friends fly free special ?? We used it last year and it was so cheap - has anyone heard of this coming again this year.

I would not hold my breath for the Friends Fly Free, which in reality was not all that great.

I booked Friends Fly Free last year in June (I think) for $133/person round trip from St. Louis to Orlando (non-stop).

In July they had an internet special for $118.50/person (same flight). They let me rebook and refunded me the difference.

Keep watching, it may come out soon.

My problem is I need to book in November, so I have to wait for them to expand schedule.

Really? I got 4 tickets from Providence to MCO for a total of $440 with the friends fly free promotion. That's only $110 pp roundtrip non-stop.

I think it was a GREAT deal as it usually costs about $180-220 pp.

We got two tickets for 233. last Sept. From BDL to MCO, our friends got two tickets for 200.00( for two)same flights last year.
Our tickets were Friends Fly Free, their tickets were internet specials, which would you have preferred?

For some it is probably a great deal, but, for others (like me) better fares can be found by being patient and looking for the internet specials.

At any rate, given the present economy, I would be surprised to see that promotion again.

We are flying out of PVD this Sept. Total price for three tickets, non stop r/t to MCO is 453.93 = 151.31 per person, which is not too bad.

We're flying out of Manchester NH - Southwest to MCO $350 rt for 2 non stop / early morning flight (we like being in MCO by noon). The major airlines out of Logan did not offer an early morning non stop and were charging about $210 pperson rt. Thus, the decision to go SW out of Manchester and the rate was pretty good.

I'm flying out of PVD again in early July. Going to stay at the WL over the 4th of July. $205pp nonstop round trip. Not too great but considering it's 4th of July weekend I think I got a decent deal.

Hi Boston Mouse,
You might want to look at your dates again, I played with a couple of dates : Leave July 2 return July9 and the fare is 177.50, which is not too shabby.

Yes, I know that I could get better rates if I could extend past the weekend but I need to be back at work on the 7th and my wife won't fly unless it's non-stop. Thanks for watching out for me though. Besides the $170 fare doesn't include the most convenient/preferable flight times. We'd have to fly in at 10pm.

BTW - I'm a true SWA convert. It's my preferred airline. Much better than Delta Express and I'm not too comfortable flying with ValueJet or should I say AirTran.

for 71.00 each way with fees r/t 156.00 each just bit the bullet I dont think it is going to get any better from now til aug. been watching for months

non stop thats the key. also know my flight times, checked price line 166.00 r/t to 179.00
and you dont have any idea times-connections, ect
