I'm so excited about the new Southwest Airlines Ding! program. They have a new downloadable program that will alert you when there are lower fares available. Today, I was able to book three round-trip flights from Norfolk, VA to Orlando for $417; at the same time, the fun fares/internet fares for those exact flights were showing $499 on their website. I saved $82 - enough to pay for an additional night's hotel, so we now have an extra night!
The catch with these fares is that they go FAST! They usually expire just hours after they are listed, so you have to be sharp. Still, I only had to wait three days before the flight I wanted was listed. From what I've noticed, they are listed around 10 am ET, and they expire by 5 pm ET, unless they are sold out earlier.
