For DVC members going to WDW at anytime during Christmas Week or early January from Chicago on Southwest Airlines, go now to the Southwest site and see if your price has changed. Just checked (we have a Dec 30 flight there) and made change (kept same flights and times) because price has dived about 33% from what we reserved just a few weeks ago. Don't know about other times or departing places.

Thanks for posting. I hope this happens for Spring Break. Last year, my tickets were under $200 per person. If I booked today, I would pay around $450 per person! :scared: I haven't given up hope yet, though!!!

Thank you. I just checked IAD-MCO and saved $25.00!

I wish Northwest was as flexible as Southwest...my fare home to Alabama just dropped $85 each. ;)

oh my goodness the airfares down to Disney in April from DC are not good-very high. Jet Blue wants $399.00 ONE WAY back to DC on April 19th ! Are they crazy or what? I could fly to CA for that price RT ! SW is much better but even they are still higher than usual. i wonder what is going on? Obviously i am going to wait. I wanted to get away for a Fr-Su . visit. These airlines are gouging everyone next year especially from certain markets like he Hub cities.

Just checked flights we have booked for DD's boyfriend between Chicago and Manchester NH which we booked a few weeks ago. No change there, works out exactly the same. I know we pay a premium for traveling Christmas week but there was no way around it.

Thanks for the heads up..hope some more can find a savings.

Northwest used to refund price changes if you noticed and called. Have you checked with them? It may have changed with all the other changes these days but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Well, my DH ticket price had dropped quite a bit since I purchased (I'm flying on a freebie), but I had already used credit from a cancelled trip, and if I do the refund/repurchase thing I'll lose the difference anyway, since I'm not flying again in the time frame allowed since original purchase..I still have 56.00 left over from the first credit and will lose that :( I think SW lets you extend the credit but it costs like 50.00 so not hardly worth the bother..

JetBlue prices seemed to jump VERY high shortly after the dates were released. We booked as soon as they were released for April, and round trip it was still at least $100 more than it was for this past October. And it seemed that there was a far more limited selection of flights and seats available at the advertised price.

Within a few days I believe, most tickets went up to $250-$400 for the same dates, and even the same flights. Right now, if I was to book the same flight, it would cost me $650 PER TICKET, and its been there since the week after I purchased them.

Also, this time, where we've flown several times direct from Boston, we had connecting flights (down through Richmond, back through JFK). But the Richmond flight kept bouncing times - at one point there was a 4 hour layover, and being such a small airport I believe we'd have to leave the secure area to get food.

A couple days ago they switch the flight down completely, connecting through JFK with a long layover and we wouldn't get down until almost 4pm...so I called JetBlue. Because they changed the flights and times, they are flexible about selecting new flights - now we have a direct flight that gets into MCO before 10am! Only now we have to get up REAL early to get to Boston by about 5am... :scared: But there was no charge at all for changing the flight since that had done it to us...

doconeill we are in the same boat. We fly our of Logan on the 13th. Our flight has been switched to 7:30 am. When we booked we were able to get 6 RT for about $230.00 each. I was really pleased. The same time frame out of Newark & White Plains were $400 + RT. I booked the first day Jetblue released prices.

I didn't think they would, but I figured I'd give it a try. No dice. Oh well...it was still cheaper than any other xmas travel I've done in years!

I'm so glad I found this thread. I was just double checking all my stuff. We fly delta, and they CANCELLED one of our flights. :scared1: I'm on the phone right now witht them, on HOLD for that past 10 minutes. But thankful I found this. I wonder what they are going to do for me. We were flying from out small local airport with connection for 370$ a person but since flights keep going down we can fly from Detroit(2hour drive) for 234$ a person with no connecting flights. Which is sometimes better that time of the year here in Michigan. You never know what mother nature will bring us. :)
