Southwest Air - What an Airline......

I posted about trading our plans of driving and going Southwest through Buffalo. Thought I had a decent deal (much cheaper then Air Canada). Well today I read they are doing friends fly free!!!!

I find our flights are available and that we'd have paid $300 US less for the 4 of us. I call Southwest and they have given me the lower fair and are giving me back the difference.

That's $470 cdn!!!!

Now I just need to split parkhoppers as I've posted below.

So to this point I got a 2 br at Orange Lake Country Club for $300 us, Midsize car for $130/wk us, flight for 4 for $450 us, Universal and Seaworld at par.....

I guess we can afford to eat well (LOL)......

Wish we were going now instead of this time next year!

We're seriously thinking of going with Southwest next year too as even with the exchange it's still cheaper.I've heard they won't refund you any difference in fares but they will give you a credit note??

Congratulations on getting a fantastic deal....we Canadians surely need it!

We flew them last year and loved it. I was hoping for another sale this year, and now that I have already bought from Delta there it is, a great deal. Oh well, live and learn.

Congrats, that's a great deal. I've never flown with Southwest, but I've heard good things about them. I think the seating goes in zones rather than prebooking, so it pays to check in early and be at the gate for when your number is boarding. That will give you the best chance of getting the best seats on the plane. You may want to check out a seating plan for the model of plane you are flying on ahead of time, to figure out where your seating preference is.

Thanks.... Fortunately it is only a 2.5 hour flight. Will probbaly time it to arrive 1 hour in advance. The beauty of flying through Buffalo is that it is a quiet airport.

I may have flown SW once from San Antonio to Dallas prior to my connection. Not going to make a big deal about it....

Just hope it is on time and the luggage unloaded easily and car rental goes smoothly.
