Southwest-17 open flights

We were hoping to book our return flight when it was cheaper. We are looking for 10/1 but I see that 9/30 has a few options that are $73 & $77 one way flights. I didn't really want to change our trip to leave 1 day sooner. On the day we want to leave SW has 17 flights still open, I assume that they may reduce flight costs just to fill them, any have any experience with this?

This close to your travel dates I would think prices will go up from here. For dates I keep looking at the Tues/Wed fights are lower and the price goes up on Thursday, more on Friday and is ridiculous on Saturday. Been thinking about spring break and going Wed to Wed we can get flights at $660 for the 3 of us. It jumps to $1600 for Sat to Saturday. If we go I will pull her out of school for 2 days to save $1000!

They are already having a killer sale so you probably won't see anything lower than what is posted.
