Southwest $131 May BUF-MCO

Oh Southwest, how I miss your good dings. Looking at August $155 one way (although they do have May for $131 - Star Wars weekend anyone?). Do you know I once got a ding for $39? I miss those days.

I hear you!! Roundtrip used to be under $200 with Southwest (and not all that long ago). We just booked for the last two weeks of August yesterday and had to change our flights to leaving one day earlier and coming back one day later to get a rate of "only" $395 for non-stop flights!

I was looking at other airlines (AirTran, DirectAir) but my husband felt safer staying with Southwest after reading online reviews of the various airlines. Oh well ... at least we have something booked now.

I remember taking all 5 of us for $495 total round trip. Now I cant get one ticket for under 300. Crazy.

I remember those ding fares for $59 one way with Southwest but those days are long gone. There are other options like Allegiant and DirectAir from Niagara Falls now. DirectAir has a sale on for $79 one way. We take carry on luggage so no baggage fees anyhow.

Yep...another one here pining for the old days. My best fare was three of us return BUF/MCO for $360...we're paying just over $800 this coming May and that's not bad for right now. Just glad to be going!

I know, I was able to get us airfare for under $800. This time for 8 of us I'm paying $2500. Wish the ding was what it used to be.

Don't book Direct Air!!!!! They just suspended flights for the next 2 months effective immediately. They might go under

Yeah and on that note, I WOULD book Southwest. At least they are increasing their prices, which means they realize that the company has to MAKE money.

Wish I could say the same for the other 'fly by night' airlines like Direct Air.

If it's too good to be true - it's not.

Wow, we were talking about booking last night. That was a close call. We were delaying because of all the consumer complaints. Webworm, I hope you are not out any money. I guess I love Southwest after all.
