These areas were just hit by severe tornadoes. Please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers. Henryville Indiana has been devastated and the costs are going to be through the roof. 3 people have died in Henryville.

I do not know how many DISers have been affected but so many people have. If you are in the line of these storms, please take action to stay safe as some of these tornadoes are huge and insane.

If you want updates or have some yourself, we have a thread on the Community boards at http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2887276

There are a bunch of us still in line to get hit tonight, including myself. We won't see anything until 10PM or later so.... still a long night ahead.

Thanks and sorry you guys are expecting them tonight. My son is at EKU and they are getting the storms right now. I was so hoping that they were going to wrong on these storms.

Well, we are on the line of moderate and slight risk for severe storms. They are expecting the worse of them to stay west of I81 and then weaken in the mountains. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Sort of just wish it would happen, know what I mean? 11PM is the end of our tornado watch and hopefully it won't be extended.

I live a few miles from Henryville and it was a scary afternoon. Luckily, we're just fine. All we got was crazy wind and rain. Henryville and a few surrounding small towns are devastated though.

I live about 10 minutes from Henryville, Indiana. My friend that teaches across the hall from me JUST got her kids out of the school before it was leveled by a tornado. Asphalt was peeled off of the road which would indicate at least an F4 tornado. Another small town...Marysville.. where I grew up.... is being reported as "wiped off of the map." We have 8 confirmed deaths and I fear that will go higher. It is just devastating. The severe threat is over for our area. The cold front has moved through.... just really strong winds now.

I am just thankful that we had A LOT of warning. That certainly saved lives. Several schools in our area actually released early today.

You guys are in my prayers! We had our own outbreak of storms hit here in Alabama. One hit less than a mile from my house.
