Southern California earthquake

The 6.9 Earthquake apparently trapped some people in a DL hotel elevator! I just heard about this on CNN, but haven't seen an websites mention it.

Apparently they are evacuating Disneyland as a precaution.

Earthquake was in Mexicali, and we felt it here at home. I felt dizzy, and when I saw the swinging hanging plants I realized we were having an earthquake - that's how subtle it was where I live. I heard they've felt it as far north as Sta Barbara, and also in Phoenix, AZ.

Here's a couple of maps that show the earthquake. The 6.9 was in Mexico, and there've been several aftershocks, the largest being 5.1 in Imperial, California. The first map is off of the earthquake site and updates as more aftershocks are felt.

We had a 4.1 up here in Northern California, about 10 minutes after the one down south. Rocken and rolling Easter Sunday in California.

KTLA is saying the earthquake has been upgraded to a 7.2.
The aftershocks keep coming.

I live in San Diego. It was the strongest and longest I've ever felt and I lived here for 30 years now. Our windows were shaking hard, I was sure they were going to break. I grabbed my DS4 who was napping and held him under me in the door frame. He never even woke up! I haven't heard of any injuries. I hope everyone is safe.

My in-laws live in San Diego as well and they were out at the time of the earthquake. They said the car was shaking a lot and buildings were shaking as well. How scary!! They hadn't been home yet when I spoke to them so I'm not sure if they have any damage to their house yet. I'm glad that so far it seems like no one was hurt.

My cousin lives in San Diego and he said they didn't have any damage. Hopefully your in-laws didn't have any damage either.

Another one woke me up at 4:15am. Not as intense as the original one but stronger then the aftershocks from yesterday, my windows were rattling and so are my nerves.

I was at Disneyland and didn't even feel it. The park remained open but all rides were immediately shut down for inspection, which forced all the people into the streets and common areas, making it seem very very crowded. They did start to reopen after awhile...after tons of people flooded out of the park. Wait times on the info board started showing up about an hour after, and there were a lot of characters out. Bert and 3 penguins were on Main Street entertaining with a very fun Mary Poppins medley on the piano. The weather was perfect, and it really was a great day other than the quake. I'm glad no one was hurt.
