South of France question?

I thought this might be a good place to ask?

We are looking to rent a villa next Sep-Oct in the South of France. Would love someplace with a Mediterranean sea view but also with nice long walk capabilities? Looked around the Cote D'Azur..too busy?

Would really appreciate some tips from people who frequent this neck of the woods?

There are lots of holiday companies specilising in Provence - we rented a lovely villa with shared pool and tennis court in Plan de la Tour (where Jonny Depp lives) a couple of years ago. Avoid the area running to St Tropez as that is a major road and known for bottlenecks.
