South Florida is bizarre...

In many ways, but in this way in particular.

It is November 10th. Lately, there has been a SLIGHT chill in the air in the mornings, but in the afternoon it is nice and warm again.

Were I still in North Florida, it would feel more like the season. But, alas, I am here, home of no seasons.

I keep seeing all these posts about holiday gifts, and thinking, "Why are people thinking about this already?" And then it dawns on me...duh, it is November after all.

It so doesn't feel like it here!

I just moved away from South Florida and I loved how it was warm all year round. I absolutely hate the cold, even the 60's are freezing to me.


We moved back to Southern Cali 2 months ago and it is cold here to me. Actually buying a pair of boots this year.


I'll trade you if you want.

It is still warm up here in North Florida. Cool in the mornings and in the mid 70's during the day. We are suppose to get some Northeasterly winds here this weekend. They are saying the high only suppose to be in the mid 60's.

One thing you will like though is the lack of humidity. I just moved to southeast from california. I have lived in georgia before so humidity is not new to me. I would go back to california in a heart beat. After a hot humid summer in mississippi and getting hit bye ivan and tropical storm matthew I have had it. Its still to cold here though, only in the 70's wish it was warmer. I would to move cali or even south florida in a heart beat!

I miss the cold weather. The humidity doesn't bug me, but the lack of seasons does.

Now don't get me wrong...North Florida doesn't get really cold, at least not by, say, Canadian standards. But they have their seasonal temperature changes. It gets into the teens, but no snow. That's fine by me.

Oh well. I did know what I was getting into, right?

I live in NorthWest fl , and its "cool" here but some days it is warm. So I am also ready for winter!

I know how you feel. I left this morning at 7:00 wearing a turtleneck and when I got done at Wal-mart and walked out side, it was real warm out. So I go home, change and a few hours later go to pick DD up at the bus, and it was cold again. But while I was walking into Best Buy looking for Christmas gifts, I kept thinking to myself how nice it was to shop for Christmas and not have to do it in the freezing cold snow

I live in South FL and this evening it sure does feel like the holiday season is here. It's very windy with a chill in the wind.

I would not change a thing. Heck, I turn the heat on when it gets below 65.
