Sounds Dangerous Out/Phineas And Pherb In?

I agree they should stick with their most popular(over long term not short term) movies

Could not agree more, but this is not the way they do things at Disney anymore IMO.
But I think they missed the boat too many times in the past.
The wiggles, JoJo's Circus, Handy Manny - they waited too long to get stuff into the parks.

P+F are hot right now so they need to react before it's time has passed.

Does it mean that 2 years from now there will be an outdated show.
Maybe, but Drew is yesterday's news IMO.
I was a fan of his when he did stand up, then his TV show and then the "Who's Line" show.
Now he does the price is right. NBD. I can't think of the last time I paid attention to him.

All this being said I do find P+F amusing and I would go see the show.
Considering what is passed off as creative these days (fart jokes etc..) P+F is not bad at all.

I think some people are failing to realize WDW is a business, not a museum to preserve whatever your memory of Disney was 15 years ago or more. It makes no sense what so ever to keep an attraction open that has mostly empty shows and no marketable products. Shows outlive their usefulness and need to be replaced with things the "real customers" (you can think it's you, but it's the kids) want to see.

What's the difference between Mr Toad's Wild Ride and Pooh?....people willing to line up to go on it.

Bear in the Big Blue House and Playhouse Live?.....how many Bear toys you think they sell a year now.

If you go look at Cable TV ratings for the last 6 months you'll quickly realize why Disney should be scrambling to get P&F somewhere in the park with a nice big gift shop at the exit.

While they're at it they need to turf Figment and replace it with a Wizards ride. I loved him 20 years ago but the creepy factor goes way up when you're riding and there is no one in any of the other cars, which is pretty much any time you ride it.

If you're a true fan of Disney you remember how great attractions used to be, keep an open mind about the new ones, and look forward to the next change they have planned for you.

The problem is something like PF and Wizard's of waverly place will probably be all but forgotten in 2-3 years. You need to build attractions around icons that will stand the test of time. I mean you could do a quick cash-in attraction that lack's imagination and quality, but it will most likely be skipped over and shunned anyway... See Stich.

My family love them too. I would rather see something like that fill that spot. I know we would be lining up for the merchandise they would sell.

If we think about it, the Muppets have not had a movie out in theatres for years and the same with their tv show to my knowledge. We love the Muppets too, so please don't flame me. I do know they announced another movie, but there again, why do people keep going to that attraction? I think that they are lovable and have a great sense of humour. We have gone to this attractions several times. I think this past January we went to the show 4 times.

I think that P&F have this same likability factor that will last long after they are off the air. They have catchy tunes too.

Every time we have gone to DHS we never go near Drew's attraction as that is never on our list to do. I would rather there be more attractions at DHS and up to date ones. When we went in January of this year, this one wasn't even open. They have tons of room they aren't using and could quickly come up with a fun ride with these characters.

:scared1: NEVER!!!

Figment isn't the problem, the rest of the ride is. The original ride was 1000x better than the new one, and Disney needs to re-design it back to the standards set by the original, not put in some kiddie pop show that will be forgotten about 3 years from now

Not to mention that Figment is THE original character for Epcot. No other Disney park that I'm aware of has their own unique Disney animated character.

they are so great i have no clue who they are

least I knew who Drew was and I thought that was a very imaginative show

sometimes everyone wants to be entertained, rather than learning how to use their imaginations. they should move Drew over to Figments building ..in fact have other cute imaginative attractions over with figment..like the stitch one..it isnt the greatest attraction, but it is very inventive and unique
Personally, I would avoid SD *because* Drew Carey hosted it. *Many* of his endeavors are not, imo, kid friendly, and I wouldn't want my kids to stop on one of his shows because they'd seen him at WDW and "must be ok".

You could say the same about a lot of comedians.

Look at Bob Saget (I think his show is shown on Disney in reruns?). There is nothing better then going to one of his shows and there is some housewife from the Midwest on vacation in NYC who thinks he is the guy from Full House or AFHV.

Most of the comedians who do network shows are not the same when you see their standup. The "comedy" on network TV does not sell in the real world.

Actually, I was *talking* about DC's network stuff (like the Drew Carey Show). Imo, it's not ok for kids, and I don't want mine to end up watching some of his "milder" shows just because they saw him at WDW. I believe his brand of "humor" is offensive, but particularly not ok for kids (at least, not mine).

OK and that is your right. Some of the content is not for kids, I agree.

Compared to some of the stuff on "kids" TV these day the DC show may not be so bad.

I wish I could recall the show my kid was watching the other day before diner, it was repulsive to say the least. Had to turn it off and this was a cartoon on Nick at 4 or 5 I believe.

I don't think I've seen anything repulsive on P+F and it is very entertaining so hopefully they will do something with it.

Phineas & Ferb is one of the best written and produced cartoons today, and is hot. The music, and positive outlook by P&F set this apart from any other cartoon today. A few weeks ago they even had a Disney Channel special featuring the top 10 “Musical Cliptastic Countdown” from P&F (Squirrels in my pants is not their best work by far! We much prefer ‘Busted’, 'Evil Boys', and the legendary 'Gitchy, Gitchy, Goo').

During our last WDW vacation this past June DD12 & I would repeatedly sing the "104 Days of Summer Vacation..." theme song. It brought smiles to our faces, CMs, and others. DW, who reminds me of Candace, thought it was annoying. There's always someone trying to "bust us"!

Please, please, please WDW add a P&F attraction! ...or else Dr. Doofenschmirtz ("Dufenschmirtz Evil Incorporated") might have to use his Soundsdangeroussupereliminator!

I know what we’re going to do today!

Oh, I agree that some of the kids programing is absolutely heinous! That's why my kids can't watch something new until I watch it *with* them, or preview it. Then, we can talk about what's ok in a new show and what's not.
I must say, however, that most of the shows on the Disney Channel are the ones I allow - even the teeny-bopper ones!
Phineas & Ferb is one of the better "new" offerings for kids! Let's see something with them! At least they're kids who are being creative and thoughtful with their time!

Next... bring on the "semi-aquatic, egg laying, mammal of action"! Perry! Perry the Platypus! You can call him "Agent P".

He's got more than just mad skill. He's got a beaver tail and a bill, and the women all swoon when they hear him say...

grrrr! (or is it gll, the closed captioning just punts and calls it chatter, I can talk platy but not spell it)

You called?

[just noticing Perry] Ah, Perry the Platypus! What an unexpected surprise. And by unexpected, I mean completely expected!

Whatcha *do*-in'?

Oh! We're just converting this boring old attraction into a high tech theme ride featuring yours truly!

That's great, Phineas. What are you going to do tomorrow?

Don't know yet.

Aren't you a little young to be converting an attraction?

Why, yes. Yes, I am.
