Sound the Twilight Bark and Pass the Chocolate Croissants - A London & Paris PTR

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Ok, never heard that one before! I must have been absent the day the kids made that one up! :rotfl: But thank you for clarifying that for me. :upsidedow

Or else you went to a really nice school! Although I'm not sure I've heard it since I was a kid. Maybe the kids don't say it anymore.

Well, I discovered some good news. Actually I asked on the DLP board and someone else gave me an answer. I was a bit concerned about the girls' passports. They expire at the end of July 2012. I've read that some countries do not allow travel if your passport expires within 6 months (which means I'd get 6 months less use of the thing, but I digress). Someone nicely gave me a link to the French Consulate website that said American citizens have to have a passport that does not expire for at least THREE months!! :yay: Just saved me a bunch of money getting the girls' renewed!!

We're still waiting to book DLP and our train tickets. Have to spread the cost of this trip out a bit! It seems DLP has a lot of offers, and they often include kids 12 and under stay/play free! Yeah, I want that deal!!
I checked out some guide books at the library and plan to start my lists! I found some cute shirts at Target for the girls for Christmas - one is purple (Paige's favorite) and says London/Paris/New York! They all have some connection to our trip!

Hey Kim - How do I say "Do you speak English?" Is it Parlez Vous Engles? (or something like that?)

Well that passport thing just sounds really dumb to me! Why not just accept it until it ACTUALLY expires! I guess that would make common sense though and that's something that no government in the world seems to have anymore. :sad2:

I've seen those T's at Target and they are cute. I almost bought one for DD to wear to World Showcase on this last trip, but I decided to go with the "All American Girl" Minnie shirt instead. I think I'll get one of those for next time though. I also saw the 'Paris clothes' at Belk just this past weekend. Cute stuff! And most of it is sparkly. I can't resist sparkly, even though it makes a huge mess!

I'm so excited for you! :yay:

Parlez-vous l'anglais ?

l'anglais (sounds like long glay) "s" at the end of a word is silent a lot in french!

the other trick that might help (and give you A LOT of credibility) is if you can figure out how to "trill" your "R's" :thumbsup2

Ok - I'm new to this whole TR thing so I'm at work and became obsessed and I just read through your entire TR of your Dream cruise and then I started on this! I loved your mention of the Mall of America because I work there! I had to work there on Black Friday and it was a weird day - I think everyone came at midnight and then went home, got some sleep and then came back in the afternoon. Luckily I'm in HR at a store though I didn't have to be on the floor!;) I loved your Dream TR and your girls are adorable! Can't wait to hear more about your trip to London/Paris. I've been to both but my DD12 only went on the Paris trip with me. You're going to have so much fun!

It's fun to see MN people on here (actually I live in WI but work in MN so technically I'm a cheesehead). Signing on for the rest of your PTR!

Yes, the kids do still say the I see London thing! LOL..that will never end, I am afraid!! Kim...I am lovin' learning some French with you and Sheree!!! We have a lot of Cajun French people near us...sometimes you can't understand them at all because they run it all together...it too is like a diff language!!! Sheree, we got our tree up and decorated on Fri,...so yeah,..it helps put you in themood for sure!!!

:welcome:
Thank you so much for your kind words about my TR and kids!! I can only imagine how odd this Black Friday was. We went shopping on Saturday evening (at MOA). It was pretty dang crowded!
I spend a fair amount of time at the MOA - we're about 20 minutes from there. Have to get my Disney fix once in a while.
I'll forgive you for being a cheesehead since you work here and you're a DISer! ;)
If you have any tips or suggestions for us on London or Paris, I'd love to hear them!!

Do you like the new Disney Store? I think it's great and much better looking than the old one. It's kind of nice to work at MOA because every time I get paid I run over and put more money onto my Disney gift card! And then when we go on our Dream cruise/visit to WDW in January, I'll give it to my daughter so she can have some spending money (or I can use it for spending money!:rotfl2: ). I actually work at AG - when I was reading your Dream TR I noticed right away that you'd had the Mauer jersey in an AG box! :thumbsup2I'm an obsessive planner so if I can find any of my old spreadsheets for Paris I'll let you know!

I do like it!! It seems smaller to me, but it's so cute!! It was so crowded there on Saturday, I said, "can we get a fastpass?"

We spend a fair amount of time and $$ at your store!! (Hence the box!) That's about half the girls' presents this year! DH was just there on Monday picking up more!

I would welcome any planning info!! I'll be posting some tentative plans soon.

:woohoo: Woo Hoo! That means I will be taking even more OKW pictures this trip!!!!! How many points????

Thanks! I would love to see some room pictures of OKW. We walked around there on our March trip. What kind of room will you be in?
We got a big whopping 26 points! Seems like an odd number - I don't care, it will work for us. I think we will be adding a night to our October stay and maybe getting a 1BR or 2BR since we get some banked points that have to be used in 2012.

So now we have 50 Vero, 25 AKV and 26 OKW! I think we'll sit tight for a while and if we add on in the future, it will probably be AKV.

26 - Definitely an EVEN number.

Sorry, I had to do that. It's a combination of the teacher and the jokester in me. ;)

Congratulations on the points! :dance3:
It's great to have those different places to stay. I have been to two of the three. I thought we were going to visit Vero this summer to see Marc and Anita, but they have had to change our camp dates, and we are going to have to bump back a week, so we won't get to WDW until the 23rd instead of the 16th, so it's not going to work this time.

I still say it to my kids! :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I have a few on my current TR...not many though. Mine are of a 1 bedroom.

:yay: Congrats!
Thank you very much!!

Congrats on passing ROFR! Merry Christmas, indeed! :santa:
Thanks, this was supposed to be our present to each other, but DH says he's getting me something from the Disney store!!! I'm guessing it is one of the new home fragrances.

Thank you. We have seen Vero and had lunch there in summer 2010, but have not stayed there. It is beautiful!! Too bad you can't meet up there with Anita and gang. That would be fun!
I still say it to my kids! :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Hee hee. I love saying stuff like that to the girls.

I shall investigate! thank you!

Well friends, I have still not really made any more plans. We plan to book our Disneyland Paris stay after Christmas. I did get the girls some Bath and Body Works "Paris Amour" lotion and shower gel for Christmas!! I need to sit down with the books this weekend and make some lists.

I have a favor to ask. If you are so inclined, I would ask you to keep my friend Jana in your prayers. I have worked with her for many years and she has become a great friend. I found out this morning that she unexpectedly lost her father yesterday. Any and all prayers are welcome. She is a very faithful person and I know that God will see her and her family through this, but she's had a tough year and could certainly use the help. Thanks friends!

Saying prayers for Jana. :littleangel: Also I slipped a little something something in the mailbox for ya today! Should arrive early next week I hope! :goodvibes
