Sort of New to DVC

I am looking to book a October 2012 (I like to plan in advance), anyway...I already have my 120 DVC points but I need a total xxx points for the stay. So I am xxx points short.

Can I rent the xxx points from another DVC member or how can I get the extra xxx points for my reservation without borrowing my 2013 points? I am looking to save them for a trip in 2014 with the family.

I see a lot of entries about "Looking for Points Transfer" is this somehting that I could do if I find someone on the rent/trade board?

To answer your question, yes, you may have another member transfer the points in to your account. The following would need to be considered:

Assuming you want to book at the 11 month window...the points would need to be from that resort, and valid for use on those dates, as transferred points retain their original home resort and use year.

To post a thread on our Rent/Trade board, you will need to make at least 50 non-Rent/Trade posts, spread fairly evenly throughout the 6 months prior to your post, or you may reply to a Points for Transfer thread.
