Does anyone know if you can still purchase liquid duty free's on board the aircraft if so are you then able to get this into the US or UK?

You can still buy liquids on board, just can't carry them through security

Sorry - does that mean if u buy them on the aircraft you have to put them in your suitcase before you go through security in the US?

That's what we did in August with duty free items bought onboard. We flew just after the terrorist threat and security was v tight. Once thro' immigration, we collected our cases and stuffed everything in before proceeding thro' security.
