I was close to becoming a dslr member.
I've been holding off waiting for that date of 4/15/06...
That dreaded tax man sent me my returns and for whatever reason I have to pay Uncle Sam.

Disapointing yes, but one of lifes twists & turns.

I still had some $$ socked away for a new lens approx $500.00 that I am not giving up.

If you guys & gals had a choice of which P&S to chose, what would it be, I've read many a thread on the Canon S2 IS, is this the right camera so I won't be that disappointed?

Looking for advice.

If you're expecting dSLR performance from S2 IS, you WILL be severely disappointed.

If I had to pick a point & shoot, I would wait (since you are really close) for the Canon S3-IS.
