OK, sorry to keep asking about this!!

We have decided to buy some usa sim cards from ebay and have them sent over here before we go.

Do you have to register sim cards in america like you do in england?? That is do i have to have an address when i activate the sim card?? Can I use the villa address and will they get a bit funny if we register 5 cards until the one address??

Also I have been told that the best coverage is either at&t or cingular (they are one company now i think??) is this right?? Are T Mobile not as good?

Final question, where do i buy credit to put onto the phone, do walmart sell the cards??

thanks!

You have made sure you have a triband phone Im guessing ..If so why not just use your own networks American PArtner coverage.. When you arrive you just move to the American BAnd and it comes up with there logo and works..We found no diffrence in cost in fact didnt even use our monthly free minutes whilst in Dallas last year.. Remember you cant put US sims in a dual or single band phone they just wont work as the whole frequency set up is completely different to the europe asian system..

yes our phones are tri-band, well, mine is quad band.

I have researched it fully now so i am now an expert in american mobile phone plans and sim cards!!! So if anyone wants to know anyway, I should know it now after spending the entire day yesterday looking up info!!!
