Dad wants to spend the last three nights of our 2019 trip at the Boardwalk. He was an OKW man, but when we stayed at BWV for a week in October 2016, he fell in love with it:love:. My sister did too and now they are both upset that my points are at AKV:sad:.

Anyways...I have lined up some potential sources of BWV points for transfer, but since I will be booking with transferred points, I need to know...

Will I have a problem booking a Pool/Garden view 2-BR for 3 nights (starting on a Wednesday) at the 11-month (minus 1 hour) window in October??

I know that the studios go fast and that all of the 2BR's are lock-offs, but will that 1-hour delay kill our chances? We are planned to waitlist, if necessary, but we will not be able to book a back-up until the 7-month window. The back up will be a 2BR at AKV since that is where we are spending the first 5 nights of the trip.

You should be fine.

While Oct is F&W, it's not one of the prime times during Fall Frenzy. And. You're not talking about a standard.

You should be fine.

I agree - though standard & BW view availability (or lack thereof) has been close to the same in recent years. Is there any reason you would not try for a 2 bdrm BW view for the same amount of points as the P/G? at 11 months minus 1 hour, you should have a very good chance. and if it wasn't available, you could book the P/G, then waitlist that amazing BW view :cloud9:

Actually, that is *my* plan...I just didn't want to let dad in on it because I don't want him to get his hopes up. I'd much rather it be a surprisepixiedust:.

Unfortunately, I just mapped it out and I realized that, based on my current schedule, I have to work on the day the booking window opens. My dad is currently an associate member on my account so I think he is going to have to be the one who calls and makes the reservation...so there goes the surprise.

I work as a paramedic so there is no way I can plan to make the reservation while I am working. I had to do that last year to try and get our value studio at AKV for this October and it was SOOOO stressful! I actually had to complete the reservation onlne while my partner was driving lights and sirens to a call! I was shaking and praying that I'd get it done before we got on scene because I knew once we were done with the call, the room would be gone. I got the reservation and, as I suspected, it was unavailable within 30 minutes. I never want to do that again:scared1:.

Usually the BWV views go last rather than 1st since pts are a bit higher, or at least that has been my experience. I would say you should be ok snagging the ressie

Boardwalk View and Pool/Garden View cost the same number of points (originally they were all together in one booking category called Preferred). But there are fewer BW View units and there seems to be more desire for them, so they book up faster than P/G View does. Standard View units go quickly too, probably neck and neck with BW View.
