I apologize if this sounds silly or maybe I didn't search well enough but...
Does anyone know the best place to buy alcoholic drinks to take to my hotel room at Paradise Pier hotel??? Or can I just order them from room service or something?

I know, random. :rotfl:

Hmm, interesting. I"m not sure, and we stayed at that hotel!

Honestly, I'd just run to a grocery store or do delivery from one (just in case you're not in CA, they sell liquor at grocery stores there), and buy some bottles and mixers to keep in my room. I'm kind of against paying highway robbery for a drinkie-poo. :goodvibes

Room service will deliver drinks.
They make great long island iced tea pricey but what isnt at Disney?
I like the grocery liquor store idea too. I have small kids so a small cocktail from room service was my occasional treat/ survival tactic after a day at Disneyland.
I actually do alot of room service in general so they can eat a hot breakfast while they get ready cause I do not enjoy going to restaurants with my one year old.

There is a liquor store not too far from PPH in the lower left corner of this Wikimapia map. (I don't know why it says "Former site of Wonderland Liquor" - it's still there.)

Alternatively, there is a counter service location just off the lobby that has a nice selection of drinks.

Here is the information I have from when I was stocking our room at DGC.

I am sure it works for Your hotel also since it's a Disney property.:goodvibes

Downstairs, across from the gift shop there is a small eating area. They have beer for sale. I don't know what their hours are, but I don't remember them staying open very late.

Thanks for the info everyone! Very helpful. :)

I hope I didn't come off as an alcoholic. hahaha:scared: :rotfl:

Nope not at all, don't feel bad!:goodvibes

I was happy to know I could call ahead of time and place an order for what I wanted in our fridge. That way we can have a drink in the evening and talk about our day.:thumbsup2

We just stayed there and during the day (I guess until pool hours..10pm)there's a full bar poolside..not sure if there's a hotel bar.

Right! Isn't that the place with the little lounge area off of the lobby, where the coffee/snack bar is? I know they sell great blended mochas there, but I figured there must be some sort of alcohol in that general vicinity!

I didn't know PPH even had room service. Do they? I never order it but I only saw a menu for the GCH room service.

I don't even drink (unless it is really fruity and I can't taste the alcohol in it), but I have had such a year from hell that I was just saying to my friend the other day (who will be with me in October when we stay at PPH) that I am going to need a drink while at DLR. So when you gotta relax, you gotta relax! Those little in-room mini-fridges are so handy!

Yeah, I mostly drink mixed, fruity drinks or beer. DL closes at 10p.m the night we'll be there & I just want to go back to the room, relax and have a drink. :) I may just pack my own stuff, just in case most places are closed.

Can't hurt to pack a bottle or two for you and your boyfriend and stash it in the fridge there. I can totally understand the relaxation aspect of things. Even though we ALL love Disneyland here on this board, we all know it can be and often IS exhausting. Sometimes you don't even know you are exhausted until you get back to your room! There is something about being out in the sun all day, walking more than usual, perhaps eating food you wouldn't normally eat, experiencing mass sensory overload, standing in lines and battling crowds that wears us out! I mean, I love every minute of it and it is a delightful exhaustion. Even if I am tired and sunburnt and my feet, knees and, worst of all, my back are hurting, I will hang in there and get my money's worth till the bitter end! But when you get back to that room and collapse on the bed, it is a sweet relief and I am sure it won't hurt at all to have a drink to help you wind down for the night!

My husband and I don't drink either, but my mom likes to have a drink on vacation. She went w/ us last year. That is the same place, Sherr! They have a limited snack selection too, I believe. We've never actually tried it though. I remember it being VERY limited. They do have room service at the PPH. We ordered from it almost daily on the last trip. We mostly ordered breakfast. It was faster and easier and more convenient w/ all the little ones. We actually ordered a couple dinner meals from there too. I remember the dinner service being awful. Either the food was screwed up, or it was the staff. I vaguely remember it being a combination of both. I do remember having to call them to complain after it was delivered for some reason. We had excellent luck w/ the breakfasts though. Delicious and hot! The gratuity is included in the room service charge. We didn't realize it until the end of our stay, so we were giving an extra tip on top of it for almost the entirety of our stay.

Well, the people who served you were probably very excited to go to your room, knowing they were getting an extra tip! Thanks, Heather, for letting me/us know about the PPH room service! I had NO clue about it. I mean, for the prices they charge to stay there, there should be some room service, but I don't know if I ever saw the menu in our room. Oh well, now I know. And I will take your advice that breakfast is good, and dinner is bad! That might be a good option on our last morning there, before check out.

As for that little snack/coffee/juice bar in the lounge at PPH, I did enjoy their blended mochas quite a bit but they were a tad on the expensive side for that small size! I never drink blended mochas in daily life but when I get to DLR, I tend to eat and drink things out of the ordinary! However, I have seen what Starbucks and places like that charge for their blended drinks and the sizes are much bigger for that same price! Everything is more expensive at Disneyland! And the juice - my goodness, the bottles are something like 8 ounces and they cost four or five bucks! Yikes! I remember looking at some of the pastries and sandwiches they had there and thinking they were too much money for the size. I would rather just have a nice sit-down meal at one of the restaurants in the park than get overpriced snacks for myself.

Another great option when you stay at the PPH is Yamabuki. I went down and got sushi to go one afternoon. For an order of CA rolls, it was not bad priced. I think I ate the whole thing though, so I don't remember them being super filling. I'm sure you can get other things take-out as well.
