Just told I'm heading to LA. for work on Monday 2-6 reporting in El Sagundo tuesday AM leaving thurs morn.

I have DVC and a PAP (WDW) voucher (not turning in until June ).Can I get any discounts to a 1 day ticket to DL.

I think I can get in Mon for part of the day if I leave the eastcoast early enough ( B- MD.) .

Do you think it's worth it or should I just try to hit DTD on Mon or Tues. night.

I know I won't be back to Cali for a while and boy this would be just the fix I need.

TIA Terry

I don't know about the dicsounts, but this will bump the thread......for me personally if I could get a solid 4 hrs at the park, I would buy the extra day, using 1 the day of arival. Even 3 hrs might tip me !

This is from Mousesavers.com

"Disneyland passes are NOT accepted at Walt Disney World, and Annual Passes are only good at the park where they were purchased (WDW Annual Passes are NOT good at Disneyland, and vice versa).

One-day tickets to Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure are seldom discounted. The exceptions are all for advance purchase only: tickets sold through universities (for students), tickets for school teachers, tickets offered to employees by large corporations and government agencies in Southern California, and military discounts through base MWR offices."

I was going to say though that if you go to a Safeway Store in Cal that you can pick up a 3 day park hopper for $119. Or any Disney Store has them too. But you said that you had a two day voucher. Any other thoughts check out mousesavers on ticket info.

Thanks ,I have no tickets as of yet the vouchers are for the WDW PAP's .I know they are not good for DL just thought maybe a discount .I checked Dl,Passholders and DVC and found no discounts even mt Disney visa had nothing.

I think I might just try to fly out as early as possible and just go .I need to check times and might just have to get a 3 day and drive down each night for a couple hour.

Anyone know how long from Continental blvd.El Segundo to DL time wise.

at costco...you can purchase a 4 day hopper thing for $119, i think. as far as time wise from el segundo...is that near lax? if so, it might take you a while to get to, especially if you're thinking of going at night, due to evening traffic, especially around that area. :flower:

I wanted to mention that the 4 day ticket from Costco is only good for Southern California residents and it is not a park hopper - just 4 admissions. The ticket says one park per day, but you may be able to use 2 admissions on one day if you get a nice gate ticket taker.

Thanks Ladies and gents .

I just decided I could not be in La without a stop so I talked my co-worker traveling with me a great time (His 1st to either Disney poor man ) .

So we are leaving Baltimore at 6:45am and will touch down at LAX 9:40 So should be in DL by noon at the latest and 8hrs will be fine with me.Thats less then $ 8.oo an hour and the company is paying me more then that to travel so it's a wash.

I'm sure tues. morn I will be feeling it at class for sure.

Exit LAX and take the 405s to the 91e to the 5. You can stay in the carpool lane from the 91 to the 5 and just exit to Disneyland. it is very easy. TAke the carpool lane to get back to El segundo also.. I think you can hop on the 105 to the 405, but am not sure. I only remmebr how to get to Dl from Hermosa beach...

Lived there 20 years and they cahnged the freeways and names on me!!! So I tend to get a bit confused sometimes. But take advantage of the carpool lane. Also a Monday would not be that Crowded there either.

If you think you may be back a couple of days in the future, a DVC discounted Annual Pass may be the thing. You can save $20 off APs at DL ... we are now bi-coastal AP holders ;).

Um, it sounds like the OP will be traveling on business, i.e. solo. There are huge fines for misuse of the carpool lane (although I don't remember the outcome of that "but officer, I'm pregnant; there are two of us in the vehicle" case :))
OTOH, where were you when I needed directions (just kidding, I never asked for help). DisneyLand got lost for about two hours when I was trying to drive there LAX a few months ago. I didn't get lost; the parks and the entire city of Anaheim did :)

I only suggested the carpool lane since she will be with a co-worker.... (you think I would send some one that way with out READING her question.) It would save a lot of time...

Again thanks and yes you did pick up on the co-worker. :thumbsup2

BUT you missed the it's a HE not a SHE :lmao: But I get that all the time being that I'm the sensitive Metro Man that I am. :teeth:

Sorry about that. I should have replied the traveler and co-worker.. Hope that you have an awesome time!

But then again the analogy was used about being pregnant and using the car pool lane so who knows what everyone else might be thinking....
