Who has used the Nuva Ring? I tried it out for the first time today. What should I be expecting? This is my first time on bc.

I just started it Thursday. So I can't give much advise. I switched from Ortha Evra which apparently had a ton more hormones. I already feel mentally better, so I am so glad I switched.

There is the possibility of slight weight gain, drop in libido etc. I think all the side effects should be listed in the pamphlets that came with it. But you may not get any of them.

Nuvaring is fabulous! I work in OB/GYN and it is the hottest thing going now in bc (or for women with menstural/hormonal issues). It is very low in risk and side effects. I have not noticed any bothersome effects at all. Many of my co-workers have switched to the Nuvaring from bc pills or the patch and are very happy.
