Sorry, turns out it was a hoax I guess. Didn't mean to do anything bad. Next time I'll keep my mouth shut!

The good news is that this is a hoax!

Viruses are scary and we all want to help our freinds and family when we hear about them. However, passing on hoaxes is, in many ways, a virus itself. It clogs up bandwidth, steals the time from people and fills email boxes with fake warnings.

I would recommend that anyone who considers passing on a virus warning please check the following web sites before doing so:

Datafellows Virus Hoax Page

McAfee Virus Homepage

FWIW, the big clue in the letter was the "name dropping" of CNN and McAfee to give it legitamacy.

Another great website to go to when you get these emails is:

www.snopes.com

Snopes

They do research and debunk most of the stuff thats floating around the internet.

There is a section on viruses.

There's also a disney section thats fun to read.

Don't Keep your Mouth shut.....any input is better than no input. That is how we ALL learn.

Thanks for the post.I did read it befor you removed it.

thanks Robin and nicknamy1996 for the links.
