I hve seen this item on many peoples packing list, or wish I would have brought list. What is this stuff? I have never heard of it. Thanks!

Mole skin is used for blisters or other tender spots especially on feet. It is soft flannel padding that protects skin from friction.

Oh, and the other one that people ask about alot is body glide

http://www.bodyglide.com/

I found it at dicks sporting goods in the team sports area. (around where the athletic supporters / jock straps were). At least that's where it was in our local stores. Lots of people havent heard of that and I just got lucky and got a person that had heard of it.

Also, they stock it in stores near the insoles and other "foot stuff". I had the hardest time finding it because I kept thinking it would be among the Band-Aids!

:thanks: for the info about the moleskin and bodyglide!! I'm from the UK and have never heard of these things until reading the posts on the DIS, I have just done a search on ebay and after viewing a few questionable items when looking for bodyglide :scared1: I managed to find both items on the UK site :woohoo: so hopefully they will be here in a few days and my feet will be fine for our next trip

:cool1:

HAHAHA

I had exactly the same problem, so that's why I just gave you the BG website (it was a pretty hard one to figure out), but I know what you mean about some 'interesting' websites..

I nearly choked on my sandwich :rotfl2:

I didn't hear about moleskin until I joined the dis. I brought some with us just in case and my bf ended up needing it every day. Glad I brought it!

Moleskin is what you put on the tip of your point shoes so that you don't fall on your behind when you dance :rotfl2:

Moleskin is a gift from the gods that allows people who are blister prone to go to WDW and not be an irritable, grouchy, limping mess by the end of 3 days. :worship:

OMG, ForeverDance, as the mom of a dancer I could SO relate to that one! The only thing that goes faster than the box is the satin at the tip! I am also a moleskin queen- even WITH an open blister, moleskin is a miracle. Put it on the hot spots, the sore callous spots, etc. If you get an open blister, put a little cotton or the padding from a bandaid on the blister, then cover with moleskin. You won't feel a thing,,,except relief!

this may be a dumb question too. I've bought moleskin before, since I am extremely prone to blisters. But I couldn't figure out how to use it! Does the sticky part actually go on your skin? What's the point? Why have a soft flannel part if that part goes on the outside? Can someone explain to me (in detail - I"m not that smart), how do you apply moleskin? And if the sticky part goes on the outside, what does it stick to? (I told you this was a dumb question).
Thanks alot.:confused3

the sticky part goes on your foot. do NOT put it on if you already have a blister though!!! put it on when you feel a hot spot forming. if you already get the blister though, use a blister bandage instead. i hae both packed and ready to go!! hae a great trip!!

Sorry if silly...but what is Moleskin?

A true vacation lifesaver!!! Especially when you have teen DDs that think fashion comes before comfort!! This way I can hold my "what'd you wear those for" comments to a minimum and just pass the moleskin!

Spenco, Is an innersole that was developed for basketball players to prevent blisters. It is a special foam product & is available at most sport shoe stores. I highly reccomend it instead of moleskin. It will prevent blisters on the sole of your foot. Moleskin is still very useful if you do get a hot spot.
