After coming in here I was terrified that MK would have mental lines thanks to the new fast pass system.
I went there yesterday and was at rope drop. Whilst it was busy around a 7 on crowd level i got 3 fast passes and walked on the rides with the fast pass. There was no waiting longer in line that I had heard about on here.

Splash reached 70 minutes yesterday. With the fast pass I had a 5 minute wait. Space was at 60 minute, again I had a 5-10 minute wait.

I had a fast pass for big thunder but decided to swap as I felt bad as my father didn't want to ride so I swapped it for jungle cruise as the regular line said 40 minutes.

The FP kiosks do get busy but the walkway between liberty square and adventure land was okay.

So in my opinion I think it is okay and is fair for everyone.

I'm glad to hear it every time someone has good experience with the system, I just think it's too simplistic to say the system is sound be cause of such experiences when opposite occurrences are still frequently being reported. The issues are not occurring continuously, but they have substantial impact on the guests in the parks when they do occur. That's why I've compared it to Russian roulette. Five out of every six people who pull the trigger wonder what all the fuss is about.

I am here now, too, and agree the FPP is working well for us, too. We have been to MK and HS so far. We even walked directly on to TSMM with our FPP (75 min SB line at the time) and got right on...no line at all!

Disclaimer...I booked all FPP at 60 days, tweaked before we arrived, but did not attempt to make any changes in the park, so no kiosks needed for me.

I definitely wish there were more than three/day at MK. But getting to the park at 9am RD made a HUGE difference. At MK, we rode Under the Sea, Barnstormer (twice), Dumbo, Pooh, Small World, and met Minnie, Daisy, and Ariel all before 10:30 am! Kids were thrilled!

I didn't take advantage of the email to FPP BOG because we have a dinner ADR there later in the week. Boy, did I wish we did. The longest line we waited in all day was for our QS lunch at about 12:30. Took longer to get the food than to eat it ;-) FP-ing QS meals would be fantastic!

Today, we are off to EP! Fingers crossed we have good luck there, too!

What else did you ride aside from the three attractions for which you used FP?

I went there yesterday and was at rope drop. Whilst it was busy around a 7 on crowd level i got 3 fast passes and walked on the rides with the fast past. There was no waiting longer in line that I had heard about on here.

So you walked on rides with FP+ at rope drop? I'm guessing this may have been your first trip to the World?

Just clarifying...we did all of that at MK without FP. Our FPP were layer in the day and walked on without much (or any) wait to those, too.

so your 3 fp+ rides were short lines and great...how were the waits for other rides/attractions the rest of your day?

Characters were CRAZY lines. Most rides were manageable. We skipped the mountains wince we are going back with FPP another day for those. We rode everything we wanted to in TL and FL with no more than a 15 minute wait before 3:00. Then headed back to the hotel after the parade. Will hit FRontier and Adventure lands on Sat and can report in then.

Good to hear rd still works since that is what we are going to do. AT least until they start giving out the 4th fp. ;)

Great news for you! Did you spend the whole day in the MK, or did you take a break at some point?

Great to hear. I was all excited about using FP+ for later in the day but now sounds like i may hve to tweak our plans.

September will be my first trip with FP+. Went last year and stayed at BLT end of August but were not included in the FP+ at that time.

Anyway, so now I need to start reading and knowing exactly what I need to do since I will choose our FP+ in June for our September trip.

When you say you "swapped" BTM or JC, how the heck did you do that? Did you cancel it on your phone or is there someone/something that you go do to this?

Also, if we go at RD, I suspect I should get my FPs for the middle of the day/before or right after lunch OR in the evening. Is this correct?

Thanks so much!

It all comes down to touring styles which is why FP+ works for us. For many years it has been our practice to hit a non-EMH park at rope drop, tour until lines get long and FP- windows got too far into the day to be of use, then we hop to Epcot. Every day at WDW. Of course by that time FP- for Soarin' TT and the like were gone or of no use to us. Now, a few times a week we'll schedule FP+ for our arrival time at Epcot thus enhancing our experience there. I also would like more than 3 and to spread them over more than one park and I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen, but we were guinea pigs last Oct and used the system again in March and were pleased.

I'm in the camp of liking Fastpass+ as well, but there is still one thing I don't get. Why are the lines for both stand by and Fastpass longer now. Is it that many more people in the parks? Wouldn't it stand to reason that if more people are having to wait in line for fastpass(like what is being reported), that there would be less lines over all for stand by. The rides themselves aren't holding more or less people, and if standby queues are longer, with people also waiting in line for fastpass, the only conclusion I can come to is that there is just that more people in the parks. Were that many people just never riding any rides before unless they had a fastpass? Are the shops/restaurants/walkways less crowded now? Not that I'm noticing.

Going in August. Like to keep an eye on how everything is going. Thanks for the initial report. Will be following along to see how others are doing as well.

Peter pan, dumbo, little mermaid, barnstormer, tiki rooms, pirates, carousel of progress and haunted mansion.

I had fp for space, splash and jungle cruise.

Met goofy at his meeting spot in new fantasyland and met mickey in town hall.

We didn't do much as the crowds and heat got to my Dad but we were there for rope drop.

No! 7th trip. Walked on Peter pan, little mermaid, dumbo, barnstormer, haunted mansion, pirates, carousel of progress, tiki rooms, met goofy no wait and mickey after 3pm parade, wait for him was about 15 minutes.

Fp in afternoon for space, splash and jungle cruise.
