Sorry Gaston, They are MUCH More Interesting Than You!*6/8* NEW Trip Report Link p154

The answer to the mystery lies on the next page courtesy of Pat!

I remember you posted this before. I am going to have to put a link to this posting so I can always look back and remember. Paul is PALE! Even I should be able to memorize that! :rotfl2:

I guess the feet are pretty creepy. I don't like the arms because I envision them wrapping around a small child sitting in one of those chairs. :faint:

I really need to categorize my pictures. Took me a while to figure out where when I took them.

I have to make a alliteration reminder to help me. :) Either that or color code.

EWWWW the arms, every child I see sitting just sits on the edge just so they can get away fast if need be. :rotfl:

Hmmm... I guess that would explain the strange disappearance and reappearance.

The arms, the legs, the face, the skirt, the lion's mane or whatever that is... yeah, just a whole lot of creepy going on there.

Makes the clown seem warm and fuzzy.

I always thought they were flower petals and the face was the center.

Please, please, I beg you to move on from the creepy chair discussion! I fear that I will never be able to stay at Boardwalk and I really want to! Now that last set of comments made it even worse!

Ahh, those HM pics are creeping me out! (I scare easily, what can I say?) They're great!

Looks like you got a really nice MK mix on your last night! How perfect.

Oooooooh! I love HM at night!! It totally IS spookier!

I really wouldn't love to get a picture of that coffin that bangs open and closed. After my aperture lesson from teekathepony, I think I'll try adjusting that setting instead of shutter speed.

Try both! Open your aperture as wide as it goes but make sure your shutter speed doesn't get too low. If you have an IS lens you can probably get away with 1/40s shutter speed. Up your ISO to 1600. Give that a try! :thumbsup2

Whoa! Awesome pictures of Leota!! You sure you need my lessons?? ;)

Still no hitchhiking ghosts, but I need to have something to look forward to. All my lens does is spin and spin. I guess I have to take the autofocus off, right Wendy?
Yep, that should do it. Basically your camera can't find enough contrast to focus on. If you put it in manual you will have better luck!

What is it about Tomorrowland that makes it remain so timeless? It still has that futuristic even though its years and years after MK first opened. Well done Imagineers! Well done!
Yes! I agree! I think for me it has something to do with the music. Beep boop!

Great evening out! I love the parade pictures. Man I love that parade. Now I have the song stuck in my head! YAY! "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls!"

That chair... :crazy2:

Those chairs give a whole new meaning to spooky! There you have this beautiful lobby, then the poltergeist twins show up! Adds a new dimension in decorating! LOL

I hear you with TWINS are not identical

Exactly. I have had many set of twins work for me and and I grew up with some too. When standing next to each other, no problem, look totally different but one at a time, I could not remember which was which. :lmao:

My outdoor supervisor would just put them on different rotations so we all could tell them apart. :lmao:

Sorry !!! :flower3: Just for the record, I have never seen the chair anywhere near the rooms and the lobby is always manned, so you should be safe. :)

Hmmm... I guess that would explain the strange disappearance and reappearance.

Yes it would! :lmao: But if Paul and Todd are actually capable of creeping around on their own feet, I hope I get a chance to see it someday. :rolleyes1

The arms, the legs, the face, the skirt, the lion's mane or whatever that is... yeah, just a whole lot of creepy going on there.

Yup - a whole LOT of creepy!

Makes the clown seem warm and fuzzy.

It's hard to keep pictures straight when you are a frequent Disney visitor. I'm the same way. I know I have a certain picture, but I can never figure out which trip I took the picture so I end up going through multiple albums.

:rotfl: Run Forrest Run! :rotfl:

Lions? Flowers? I have to say that those Imagineers did a great job confusing us.

I hear you with TWINS are not identical

Rosie - that is a great picture! They are both so cute! :goodvibes

Please, please, I beg you to move on from the creepy chair discussion! I fear that I will never be able to stay at Boardwalk and I really want to! Now that last set of comments made it even worse!

 Sorry Sheree! Maybe it's time for me to get my next update ready. :rotfl:

Ahh, those HM pics are creeping me out! (I scare easily, what can I say?) They're great!

Well, you're not the only one. Seems like nobody is very fond of creepy old Todd and Paul. :rotfl:

Looks like you got a really nice MK mix on your last night! How perfect.

I did and it was a really perfect! Such a great way to end a trip! :thumbsup2

Oooooooh! I love HM at night!! It totally IS spookier!

Seems like everyone agrees with that even though I'm sure its not. :rotfl2: It's all in the mind.

I will try opening the aperture. I usually use an automatic ISO setting so I don't have to worry about it. But I will try to consistently switch to 1600 when in the dark.

Whoa! Awesome pictures of Leota!! You sure you need my lessons?? ;)

Totally need your lessons. That was luck and persistence. Called taking as many pictures as you possibly can while changing the shutter speed and hoping they turn out.

Yep, that should do it. Basically your camera can't find enough contrast to focus on. If you put it in manual you will have better luck!

I will try that as well. I never real thought about it during the ride, because I am too hyped up. But as I was typing I realized that it is an option I never tried. I might need a couple consecutive rides on HM to get this all straight.
;)

Yes! I agree! I think for me it has something to do with the music. Beep boop!

:thumbsup2 It does. There is just a futuristic sound to that music that hasn't changed since the park opened. It's something everyone can identify with.

Great evening out! I love the parade pictures. Man I love that parade. Now I have the song stuck in my head! YAY! "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls!"

It was such a great evening and even though I didn't watch the entire parade I was still happy I got to see a little bit of it on my way out! Sorry about the "stuck" song! :rotfl:

That chair... :crazy2:

I'm not posting pictures of the chairs. This TR is safe now! :rotfl:

Those chairs give a whole new meaning to spooky! There you have this beautiful lobby, then the poltergeist twins show up! Adds a new dimension in decorating! LOL

The Poltergeist twins!!!! :lmao: Hahaha - that is too funny. Todd and Paul Poltergeist. Not only do they have first names, but now they have a last name. Love it!

Exactly. I have had many set of twins work for me and and I grew up with some too. When standing next to each other, no problem, look totally different but one at a time, I could not remember which was which. :lmao:

My outdoor supervisor would just put them on different rotations so we all could tell them apart. :lmao:

That's too funny. I am fine with fraternal twins, but forget about it when it comes to identical twins. That is too much mental strain for me. :rotfl:

Sorry !!! :flower3: Just for the record, I have never seen the chair anywhere near the rooms and the lobby is always manned, so you should be safe. :)

Yes - Sheree - we are done scaring you. I agree - the chairs are always in the lobby. Never anywhere near the rooms or the elevators (in case one of them plots an escape). :rotfl2:

Those Haunted Mansion pictures are great!!!:thumbsup2 It's so dark on that ride, that I can't imagine getting such clear shots.

You caught a bit of the fireworks, a bit of the parade, sounds like a pretty nice way to enjoy a night at MK. :goodvibes

Thanks! You definitely can't get shots unless you use your manual settings. I just try to slow the shutter speed down to the point where I get enough light in to get a shot.

I loved the way I ended that trip! It was also pretty adventurous of me to do all the running around by myself. I mean, I know Disney's really safe and all, but it is just a little scary to be out night all alone. What can I say? Sissy for sure! :rotfl2:

Seems like a great solo night in MK! I really loved your HM pictures. DH can never get one of that coffin opening & closing either, but that doesn't mean he doesn't try every time! You got a great one of the Madame! :thumbsup2

Yay for the return of the creepy chair? :confused3 :lmao:

M –
Nice prom pics.
Cute duck pics.
Love the pics from your walk to BC.
Beautiful sky pics at Epcot.
I love all of Disney lit up at night.
Why a sissy? Crazy is more like it. LOL. You are on a water ride, GET WET. LOL
Nice pics inside HM. Mine never come out.
That chair at BW is just creepy.
All caught up again.

Great pictures! The one of Leota is AMAZING!

You win the award in my book :thumbsup2

Excited you are going back in 2 weeks :)

Where are prom pics? I love prom photos. You're going back in 2 weeks? I'm doing something wrong in this life- lol!

Oops got behind again, for some reason my subscription didn't bring up the updates, oh well.

Love the Yak and Yeti t-shirt Cynthia.

Doubt i'd have guessed the t-shirts correctly, maybe the ride ones but not the Germany ones. Great kilt photo.

Interesting fact about the baby duck as i've often thought about helping a struggling baby as well but never have so now I know never to.

Great news about the new job Mary Ellen, well done.

Very cute prom photos, I loved her dress.

I had so much fun my last evening in the MK. It was awesome!

Well now I don't feel so bad knowing that your DH has trouble with that shot too. I am going to try opening the aperture as wide as it goes, setting the ISO on 1600 (instead of using auto) and taking the auto focus of my lens. But I think I probably need a camera that does 3200 ISO.

Yay for the return of the creepy chair? :confused3 :lmao:

Well, I guess knowing that the chair was in the lobby means it shouldn't be elsewhere trying to creep somebody out! :rotfl:

M
Nice prom pics.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Cute duck pics.

OMG - those ducks were ADORABLE!!!!!!!!

Love the pics from your walk to BC.

Isn't that just such a great area? I prayer everyday that my October waitlist comes through! :worship:

Beautiful sky pics at Epcot.

It was SUCH a gorgeous night. True perfection!

I love all of Disney lit up at night.

Really, who doesn't? I just feel like the lights bring out or accentuate all the energy in the park.

Why a sissy? Crazy is more like it. LOL. You are on a water ride, GET WET. LOL

:rotfl: Well, I guess you have a point there. But I have naturally curly hair and getting it wet is NOT GOOD!

Nice pics inside HM. Mine never come out.

Thanks!

That chair at BW is just creepy.

Seems to be the general consensus. Does anyone like that chair? Anyone??????

All caught up again.

:thumbsup2 Yeah - they you should be able to get caught up for the end because I am wrapping this TR up real soon.

Great pictures! The one of Leota is AMAZING!

You win the award in my book :thumbsup2

Thanks! Award gratefully received. I am very proud of that picture, in case you couldn't tell.

Excited you are going back in 2 weeks :)

I am really looking forward to it. Feels weird to be going away again since we were just in HHI, but I'll take it!

Where are prom pics? I love prom photos.

They are here

You're going back in 2 weeks? I'm doing something wrong in this life- lol!

It's called living on the East Coast.:rotfl: It makes it so much easier to plan a trip to Florida when its only a two hour flight.

There are actually several reasons we are heading down in June. Originally I said NO more June. It's just so darn hot. But my brother & SIL asked us to go with them and they rented a house and we were to stay for free. Well, my brother is having some health issues that forced them to cancel. So, in light of Denny spending 2.5 days in the hospital while we in HHI and the fact that I am starting a new job in July and want to use up my vacation time, we decided to go anyway. We decided not to borrow points, rather we are staying off site for 5 nights and going to see our close friends in Daytona for two nights. They have both retired. It's really hard having friends at retirement age. It makes me jealous that I am still years away from retiring. *sigh*

Oh - and I also bought Denny and I the premium APs while I was there in October, so those things are burning a hole in my pocket. :scratchin

That was at CRT for their 16th birthday!!!:goodvibes Yes it is a good picture of them, their horns don't show :rotfl2::rotfl2:

:rotfl2: Oh Rosie, you crack me UP! What 16 year old doesn't have horns that show from time to time????

Oops got behind again, for some reason my subscription didn't bring up the updates, oh well.

I hate when that happens. I can't stand when I get behind on a subbed thread like that. :badpc:

Love the Yak and Yeti t-shirt Cynthia.

On behalf of Cynthia, who is relaxing a little too much in Aulani, thank you. I love it too. So cute!

Doubt i'd have guessed the t-shirts correctly, maybe the ride ones but not the Germany ones. Great kilt photo.

I don't think anyone got the Germany T shirts correct. I love that Kilt photo, too! It's awesome!

Interesting fact about the baby duck as i've often thought about helping a struggling baby as well but never have so now I know never to.

Actually, we all pretty much determined that man was full of crap and that it is, indeed, OK to help a baby duck in distress.

Great news about the new job Mary Ellen, well done.

Thanks! Huge relief. :thumbsup2

Very cute prom photos, I loved her dress.

Thanks! Yes - her dress was gorgeous. Pictures don't really do it justice!
