Sorry Gaston, They are MUCH More Interesting Than You!*6/8* NEW Trip Report Link p154

Catching up. :goodvibes

That's all I do anymore. I just can't seem to stay on top of my sub'd TRs.

It was some crazy sizing on those shirts.

Yeah - small, extra small, and extra, extra small (child's) :rotfl:

I know I talked about the Germany tees ...:rotfl: Too funny. I was with you when I bought potato head, well in the same park anyway, you were at animation. SM I didn't get till that last morning and was the reason I HAD to to MK no matter what.

I promise to pay better attention on our next trip now that I know there will most definitely be a contest involved. :rotfl:

My folks go pretty much annually, siblings if and when they can. Yes, I was there in 2011 for my goddaughters baptism and had a DISmeet with Magdalene :goodvibes. I've been there twice prior to that. Kids are dying to do. Of course their cousins there, are dying to come here!

I remember that DISmeet with Magdalene. That was pretty cool. I know you weren't there that long, but how great that you got to go.

You did good!

Thanks!

I'm just looking forward to GOING! 4 days!!!!!!!!!!!

!

Tomorrow now, right? :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Good Mornin' Cynthia and Mary Ellen !!

Hey Rosie! :wave2: Just read about your training session on Friday and you still have my cracking up! :lmao:

:thumbsup2 Love the photo of you on Splash! I wear a poncho too, especially at night, sissies unite.

Woo Hoo! Rock on Sissies!!!!!! And you know I will be wearing a poncho in the blazing heat of June as well! :rotfl:

I agree, that thimble full of ice wine was obnoxious. I drank mine like a shot too. They should be embarrassed to charge more than $1 for that.

I couldn't agree more. I bet no one EVER goes back for a second! But I do sort of wonder if anyone ever complains?

Your sunset photos are beautiful. Dusk is my favorite time of day anywhere but especially over any body of water. :cloud9:

Thank you! It really was the most perfect October evening. I think I found my new favorite Disney weather and it's got to be October. Perfection!

I missed the BIG Reveal so just went back !!! I didn't know about your German roots or the Scottish one ( remember Scotch is a drink:lmao:) Do not call a Scot .. a scotch !!:rotfl2: Ireally loved that Y &Y shirt !!!

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: You are on a roll now, Rosie!!!!!

For you with the time change it also shortens it. We shall see. If I can swing I will do it. It will probably mean a day or two at POP or AoA. :confused3

And what's wrong with that? Now you have an excuse to check out a Little Mermaid room at AoA!!!!!

I did a bit of pre- testing the waters and I should be able to get eh week off. Of Course as with any construction it may be pins and needles up until holiday time but there is really nothing I can do and being shut down other that the regualar stress of construction I have nothing else really going on during that time.

I hope it all works out as planned! :thumbsup2

Either way ..... a meet up will happen! :thumbsup2

DIS Meet =

It was a nice view. Parking lot beyond the trees and a bit of the water in between and it worked out just fine.

It sounds really nice. Makes me want to try a standard view again just to see what I get above the ground floor!

It's always predictable that upon arriving at HS, you would go get a FP for TSM. I mean, that's what we all do, right?

I don't know a single DISer who deviates from that plan! :thumbsup2

WHAT!? I thought I was Pink!? ;) Seriously though, that guy is mighty tall!

:rotfl: You ARE pink - at least the best look-a-like I have seen to date with you new, cool do. Of course, I guess its not that new anymore, is it?

Wow, that's a bit sobering with the family needing help for their daughter. We've seen a few things happen before, and you're absolutely right, it does pull you out of your world for a little while.

It was exactly that. For me, reality filters back in at such a slow pace. It's like I just stand there and think "doh. what was that?"

"It was a dark and stormy night".....oh wait, nevermind. That's how Snoopy always started his writings. ;)

:rotfl2:

Carrot cake cookie!!!!!!! Sorry, got a little excited there.

I was super excited for that cookie, but the next time I will eat it AFTER lunch. Too much of a pre lunch sugar high.

I'm going to make sure to get a little Bo action for you in July.

Right on Sista!

Oooohhh, that burger looks yummy!

At that moment it WAS the best burger ever. I was so hungry. My mouth still waters when I think about it.

I would definitely like to stay at the Yacht Club. It's the only resort I haven't stayed at, but I can't justify the points!

I know! I would love to stay there, but I would have to get some amazing half price deal or something similar, otherwise it doesn't make sense.

I totally bought that drain stopper for my Mom! She loves it.

Really? And is it holding up? I mean the colors? Curious to know how it wears with garbage in it every day.

I hate skinny drink marketing too! It's like "really?" I don't drink because I'm concerned about being skinny. :lmao:

Somebody was just telling me how much they loved those drinks and I had to bite my tongue. Hard. :rolleyes1

Nice view!

Now that is a view I could deal with on every Disney trip. It was really perfect.

My Mom and I are planning on eating at Flying Fish on our girls trip in February! I'm excited.

Yeah - I hope you love it. I have had two amazing meals there.

I adore WS during F&W. The drunk people crack me up. And I'm always one of them. :rotfl2:

:lmao: The more the merrier. At least you don't have to drive or be on the road with any of those people who ARE driving. Hopefully there are a lot of designated drivers in place.

I want that cook book!!

And you were just there. Too bad you didn't know to look for it. Wonder if its on Amazon?

That's your story and you're sticking to it...... :rotfl2:

Darn straight!

That must have been quite a windy evening.

Now why is the George Carlin joke about a butterfly with gas stuck in my head??? :rolleyes1

:lmao: Ok - there may have been some similarities. :rolleyes1

Mary Ellen I hope your Dad is doing well!!

Thanks Rosie! The plan is for him to go to rehab today. Fingers crossed the move goes well.

With a little over two weeks until we go to Disney, I thought it would be a good idea to wrap this TR up. Don't forget to check for the results on the T-shirt contest in Cynthia's last post.

Here goes...

The Madame

I just got off Splash and now it was time to start venturing towards the front of the park.

I decided to head to one of my favorites

To me, everything about the HM is scarier at night.

Even the laugh in the stretching room sounds a little more sinister at night.

I was intent on trying to photograph some of the things I can never shoot because its pitch black in there.

Did you ever notice that there are actually quite a few lights in the HM?

I really wouldn't love to get a picture of that coffin that bangs open and closed. After my aperture lesson from teekathepony, I think I'll try adjusting that setting instead of shutter speed.

Well, hello madame

I took a lot of pictures of the madame. The Side view pose

The Blank eye pose

The Eyebrow Enhancing Michael Jackson profile

The Almost too Blurry to post pose.

But the one the wins me the photographer of the night award and the coveted "best picture of the trip" award is this one.

Are you ready???????

Bam!

How the heck did that happen? I knew it was a keeper as soon as I took it. When I look at it now all I can say is WOW! She looks SO Darn Real! Six months later and I'm still so psyched I got that picture.

I think someone just said this in their TR, but I'll echo the sentiments....

"Don't Do It!!!!!!"

Sure. You smile now! Just wait!

Muhahahahaha

The eyes in this picture are really creeping me OUT!

Love these guys

Still no hitchhiking ghosts, but I need to have something to look forward to. All my lens does is spin and spin. I guess I have to take the autofocus off, right Wendy?

When I walked out for the ride there was a nice surprise in the sky.

So where to next?

I couldn't get into Fantasyland, but Beast's Castle sure looks pretty at night

There was literally no one in the tea cups

Ok, I lied. But seriously, I could have been in the next cup!

As tempting as the was, I keep walking.

I decided to check out the wait for Space Mountain. It was somewhere in the 40 minute range. I knew it could possibly be half that, but I just didn't feel like waiting even 20 minutes to get my brain jostled around.

There was some dancing getting ready to start.

I decided I needed a relaxing ride on the Ol' Blue Line and I have the chubby foot picture to prove it.

I never get this picture to turn out. This is about my best to date.

Watch Your Rollers Y'all

Still waiting for a grandchild or a nephew to ride this ride with.

Rock On!

The one picture you know will always turn out!

What is it about Tomorrowland that makes it remain so timeless? It still has that futuristic even though its years and years after MK first opened. Well done Imagineers! Well done!

I decided my last stop would be here

There was a little bit of a line, but it moved.

After Buzz I toyed with going into the Laugh Factory or heading here, but I decided to call it a night. I really wasn't in the mood for one of Stitch's smelly burps.

I cut through Tomrrowland Terrace

Said Goodnight to the Castle

Took a final balloon picture

and watched a bit of the parade

I mean, after all, how could I walk out just on the parade without a single picture?

When I got back to the Boardwalk I had already packed up my camera for the night. But look who had mysteriously reappeared while I was out.

Is that Todd? Or is that Paul? Let's see who remembers.

Up Next…..Going Home and Final Thoughts.

Nice evening!

Great shots on HM! I don't even take out the camera in there. I leave the dark shots to the professionals like you!

You didn't mention how you did on Buzz?

Lovely parade shots!

Todd?, Paul?, who cares, they're both creepy!

Good thing you and Cynthia both have upcoming trips to report on again soon. Otherwise I'd be really  that this TR is coming to a close.

Wow, those are some great HM pictures but the one of Madame Leota is amazing!

Jill in CO

Looks like a great evening.

I love all the ride pictures. The HM is one of those rides I could just ride over and over :)

I just got off Splash and now it was time to start venturing towards the front of the park.
It looks like you took the most indirect route possible. :rotfl2:

To me, everything about the HM is scarier at night.
::yes::

But the one the wins me the photographer of the night award and the coveted "best picture of the trip" award is this one.

Are you ready???????

Bam!
Ok... that is impressive! Nice job! :thumbsup2

Still waiting for a grandchild or a nephew to ride this ride with.
You're allowed to ride it yourself... :rolleyes1

After Buzz I toyed with going into the Laugh Factory or heading here, but I decided to call it a night. I really wasn't in the mood for one of Stitch's smelly burps.
THe Laugh Factory, I understand, but why would you even consider Stitch??? :confused3 :rotfl:

I mean, after all, how could I walk out just on the parade without a single picture?
Yep... you and Cynthia are certainly 2 peas in a pod. :rotfl2:

Is that Todd? Or is that Paul? Let's see who remembers.
No idea, and after Cynthia's contest, I'm done with wild guesses. :faint:

To me, everything about the HM is scarier at night.

I agree with that.:thumbsup2

But the one the wins me the photographer of the night award and the coveted "best picture of the trip" award is this one.

Are you ready???????

Bam!

Nice! I've never gotten a picture of her to turn out.

There was literally no one in the tea cups

Wonder why. :confused3

I decided I needed a relaxing ride on the Ol' Blue Line and I have the chubby foot picture to prove it.

That's a fun ride at night too.

Still waiting for a grandchild or a nephew to ride this ride with.

It's fun...for the first 30 seconds.:rotfl2:

I mean, after all, how could I walk out just on the parade without a single picture?

That's a very good question.

When I got back to the Boardwalk I had already packed up my camera for the night. But look who had mysteriously reappeared while I was out.

Is that Todd? Or is that Paul? Let's see who remembers.

I have no idea, but aren't you glad you saw that face right before you went to sleep?

Can you believe how close our trips are? Oh, and if you need someone to ride the race cars with, I'm sure one of the girls would be more than willing. ;)

LOVE LOVE the photos you got at Haunted Mansion. I've tried over and over again but never have much luck.

And then to come out and see the fireworks, ride Buzz and see parts of the parade yet again.

I look forward to your closing comments...but not the going home.

Andy said it but yes

Not the most direct route back to the castle. :rotfl2:

Great shots - The Madame is WOW. I got some good ones but still waiting for that best Madame shot and the one that says - Hurry back at the end.

This past trip it was more of a run through MK but everything was just about a walk on and I had timed just right.

I was able to get some good shots in Pirates. ::yes:: and ot just of the Redhead. :lmao:

I swear Paul and Todd wander around when we are not looking. :scared1:

Nice evening!

It was. I really had a fun time all by my lonesome self.

Great shots on HM! I don't even take out the camera in there. I leave the dark shots to the professionals like you!

Yeah right! :upsidedow Well, it does require using your manual settings. That has helped me tremendously in the dark rides.

You didn't mention how you did on Buzz?

Because I totally forget! :rotfl2: So it must not have been that impressive. :confused3

Lovely parade shots!

Thanks!

Todd?, Paul?, who cares, they're both creepy!

True! But I'm trying really hard to keep them straight and I keep forgetting whose who. I was hoping someone might remember. :scratchin

Good thing you and Cynthia both have upcoming trips to report on again soon. Otherwise I'd be really  that this TR is coming to a close.

I always get sad when I finish up a TR. It's my way of saying that the trip is really over. So I'm glad I've got another TR around the corner, too.

Wow, those are some great HM pictures but the one of Madame Leota is amazing!

Jill in CO

Thanks Jill. I never even realized what she looked like up close. Gotta love a zoom lens.

Looks like a great evening.

Welcome Back Dawn! I can't wait to hear all about your trip!

I love all the ride pictures. The HM is one of those rides I could just ride over and over :)

Thanks and I know - it's such a cool ride. It's right on the edge of almost being overly creepy.

I still want to know how Caitlin got that coffin shot.

Madame Leota picture? AMAZING. Wow. I have camera envy.

And seeing MSEP as you're walking out, well it makes me a little misty. But in a good way. :goodvibes

Your Madame Leota pictures are super creepy!!!! But good.
I don't even try to take pics in it anymore as it is so dark but now you have inspired me! :thumbsup2

It looks like you took the most indirect route possible. :rotfl2::

I never said I was going straight to the front of the park. A detour was most necessary!

:thumbsup2 But why is that? I guess its all in the mind!

Ok... that is impressive! Nice job! :thumbsup2:

Thanks. I just love that shot. Pure luck, but I love it all the same.

You're allowed to ride it yourself... :rolleyes1:

True, but somehow I would feel a little awkward riding that by myself. Tea cups, yes. Speedway, no. Hey - don't judge! :rotfl:

THe Laugh Factory, I understand, but why would you even consider Stitch??? :confused3 :rotfl::

Yum - I wouldn't, but it sounded good when I posted the picture. Artistic license and all! ;)

Yep... you and Cynthia are certainly 2 peas in a pod. :rotfl2:

I guess that's why we make such good roomies!

No idea, and after Cynthia's contest, I'm done with wild guesses. :faint:

But you have a 50:50 chance. Even I am not sure of the right answer and I already learned this. Doh!

I agree with that.:thumbsup2

But why is that? It always seems darker inside, but it can't be. It's all my imagination, but that doesn't make it any less scarier at night.

Nice! I've never gotten a picture of her to turn out.

I got really lucky. I just wouldn't give up with the hopes that one would turn out exactly how I wanted it.

Wonder why. :confused3

Hey - don't go hating on the T-cups! When I was a kid I just loved those spinning rides. Now, not so much. :rotfl:

That's a fun ride at night too.

It really is!

It's fun...for the first 30 seconds.:rotfl2:

So I'm not missing anything then. Good to know!

That's a very good question.

I'm sure some people can do it, but not me. I am too picture obsessed.

I have no idea, but aren't you glad you saw that face right before you went to sleep?

NO! :scared: It actually creeped me out that Todd (or Paul) was missing earlier in the evening, but then he was back at 11:30 at night . Shudder!

OOooooo ... your Madame photo was amazing !!

Loving all of your night photos.

Those chairs at the Boardwalk are really creepy.

Having another trip coming up is always a good reason to wrap up a trip report.
