Sorry Gaston, They are MUCH More Interesting Than You!*6/8* NEW Trip Report Link p154

Just to let you know, my cooking yesterday was successful! I made ice cream from a 1750s cookbook, the strawberry ice cream was a big hit! The day was very exhausting, i came home had a drink & conked out. Oh blissful sleep!

Hello ladies! I am finally caught up with your TR (I have just not had time or energy for DISing this past week at all.)

First, let me wish you both a Happy Mother's Day. Cynthia, I hope that you managed to eek a little bit of time for yourself with your family in all of your craziness and must do's today.

MEK I am SOOO Glad that you have a new job in the wind AND that your June trip is back on. I was so disappointed when I read it was looking cancelled.

You both have such great photos from Epcot for your last day. those kiosk foods look awesome. That Kerry gold / Irish plate looks just like the Fisherman's Lunch that is served at Granny McCarthy's tea room up by me. Its my hands down favorite.

I have no guesses on tee's - I have to go back and look at them all over. I've been popping on and off the boards today in between groceries, dinner, and putting together a gazebo on the deck. (yes, restful mother's day, right? :rolleyes1)

MEK LOVE LOVE the prom pictures. Nick looks so very handsome, and his date's dress is amazing. love that layered look this year - so stylish and pretty. Glad to see that she picked something elegant.

Love the ducks ...so cute.

Glad I got to scroll through the pictures before heading off to school this morning.
Sweet prom pictures.
Cute ducks and duck story. :lovestruc
Love the resort pictures, of course. :thumbsup2

Hope you had a very nice Mother's Day weekend!

Thanks everyone for the lovely mothers day wishes, I hope you all had lovely days too!

Before I get on with m next update I have to take yet another proud mama moment to show you some pictures from Nick's prom
Thanks for letting me share.

Just gorgeous and wow, Nick really does look like you! Kendall enjoyed checking out Nick's dates dress, it was fun actually at dinner after her soccer game we were looking at Nick's pictures, Patricia's Emily and a whole host of other girls and checking out the dresses :goodvibes

You already know I hated saying goodbye to Cynthia. This was our second trip together as "creepy internet strangers turned friends" . We have the DIS boards to thank for that. Most times when you say good bye to your friends you know you will see them again soon. But DIS friends come from far and wide and Cynthia and I are about as geographically displaced as possible. So saying goodbye to Cynthia meant the likelihood of seeing her anytime soon is very small. I think that's what makes saying good-bye hard. But the good news is we have our eye on a girl's trip in May 2014. Hopefully that will come to fruition. I know once I activate my AP in June I will definitely be in for a May trip!

So I went back up to the room with Cynthia as she finished her last minute packing. I will say this - she is a much more efficient packer than I could ever hope to be. So efficient that I apparently never saw the T-shirts she post. She was packed in no time and spent her final moments fighting with the online check-in at Alaska Airlines. I walked her down to the ME stop just as a bus arrived and we said our final goodbyes (or see you not real sons).

Was it Nick or Brian that was calling it creepy? :lmao:

I do look FAR too happy in that picture. Seems the wine at the kiosks and then the poolside cocktail momentarily were keeping my sadness at bay

:rotfl2:

Still though I was in a great mood. Even though I was leaving, I was relaxed, it has been a great trip and a great day and I wasn't feeling any of the "oh I didn't make it to xxx" frustrations that can happen at the end of a trip sometimes. Not to mention my mind was plotting adding on...which was already planned anyway...but the scope was changing for sure.

I'll be activating my PAP in Dec so will have to get at least one more trip on it...May works pretty darn well if you ask me! :thumbsup2

I remember you texting me a picture of those ducks, SO cute!

Love the prom pics! Isn't it funny how our kids can go from being our babies to all grown up looking about the time they have those prom pictures taken?

Such a sad moment to have Cynthia leave.....

Ducklings are super cute!

The BW is amazing! I love all the pictures you got. I want to stay there some time... really really bad.

Love all your pictures!!! :thumbsup2

I was sad that's for sure (despite how I look in the picture)

Mary Ellen: What a handsome couple for prom! Thank you for sharing those photos!!

I was totally rooting for the little duckie. ::yes:: How adorable.

The BW resort is so beautiful. Love your photo tour of not only BW but BC and the Crescent Lake area! It is just so scenic.

You looked lovely for your evening out and about. :thumbsup2

Cynthia: You look way too happy to be leaving WDW! ;)

Sorry about the knuckle-head co-worker and the associated stress.

Wishing you both a Happy Mother's Day this Sunday!!!

I do look way too happy, what is up with that? I hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day as well Brenda!

[Cynthia - sorry to hear about your bad day, that co-worker sounds incredibly insecure. Hope it got better!

Mary Ellen - Beautiful prom pictures! Nick looks so sharp, and I just love his date's dress! It's so pretty! I bet you were camera happy that day! :thumbsup2
I bet saying goodbye to a Dis friend from the other side of the country would be hard, I'm glad to hear you're thinking of a girls' trip next year! That always makes the goodbyes easier.
Those duckies are SO CUTE! I'm almost positive that a mother bird will not reject a baby like that. We found a baby sparrow in our yard once and we researched it. We put it back in the nest and all was good! Thanks for the compliment btw, but you did get some nice pictures of them! (On a related note, I'm thinking of giving some fun "photography 101" lessons in my PTR. Any thoughts?)
I enjoy your picture OCD because it allows me to enjoy all the resorts you visit! :goodvibes BWI is just gorgeous. So is BC for that matter!

Maybe it's insecurity, there is definitely paranoia so he may have baggage, I don't know. He is new to our company so too early to tell the root of it or how much of an issue it will really be.

Thanks for the wine rescue! Got it home safe and sound thanks to you!!

The duck family is too cute!!

Great prom pics!

Saying goodbye to DIS friends at the end of a trip does stink. So happy to hear you are planning another trip!! :thumbsup2

Cynthia- sorry for your bad day. Why do people have to be soooo annoying?

Hope you both have a great Mother's Day!!!!

Why do they have to be so annoying??? I don't know. Hopefully this week goes better with him, I'll know a lot more by EOD tomorrow....

It was very sad to leave

The prom pictures are great!! So cute.

So sad Cynthia had to leave early. :( Hopefully your May 2014 will work out!

OH MY GOODNESS... that duck story is the cutest thing ever! If I had been at that pool, I would have been the fourth person watching.

Your pictures of the Epcot resort area are so gorgeous! I just love that area. MUST STAY THERE.

I was sad to leave and hope May 2014 works out too! Only a year away....

Hi ladies! I'm sorry for falling so far behind. Too much life, I tell you. :confused3 And you don't have to respond to all my ramblings. I have to work in an order, otherwise I get confused. Hehehe.

I know the feeling!

Haha. Cynthia, your aunt did what my parents constantly did to us, with trying to embarrass. Which is why my brother and I pass that on to the kids now. We torment them endlessly. Hehehe.

Torture is important :thumbsup2

Cynthia, you're not a dork doing research on the F&W items you want to try! I always do that before I go down.

Your home version of the sauce looks great!

Hahahahaha. A little too much imbibing, huh? Nice "doggy" pictures.

Soarin' FP mojo!

What a fun rest of the night you had. I love being with large groups of people. It's part of why I'm so looking forward to our summer trip.

I don't think imbibing had a thing to do with our doggy picture...not sure what that says about Pat and myself but....:rotfl2:

I'm really glad I tried the sauce at home, we've had it several times since.

AWESOME! You guys were April, May, and June. I love it.

Nice fireworks pics! I haven't seen Hallowishes in years.

I'm very glad we dressed up, it was a blast.

Just to let you know, my cooking yesterday was successful! I made ice cream from a 1750s cookbook, the strawberry ice cream was a big hit! The day was very exhausting, i came home had a drink & conked out. Oh blissful sleep!

Yum! Hopefully you can recover today

Thanks Mary Ellen, we did get a very short hike/walk in which made me happy and there were lots of nice moments all day.

I am behind everywhere and need to get cracking on my TR if I want it wrapped up in 8 days :scared1:

I have no guesses on tee's - I have to go back and look at them all over. I've been popping on and off the boards today in between groceries, dinner, and putting together a gazebo on the deck. (yes, restful mother's day, right? :rolleyes1)

Mine wasn't restful either but it was nice, I hope some of that was things you wanted to be doing (gazebo maybe?) the groceries and dinner part...not so much.

Well, it is as if fate stepped in to give you a pleasant diversion after saying goodbye to Cynthia. Those ducks were in the right place at the right time! :rotfl2: It is kind of funny seeing them in the pools though. There was a family of ducks hanging out around the rocks and in the water near the stream that feeds into the pool at Wilderness Lodge when we stayed there a couple of years ago. DS was fascinated by them.

Nice pictures of the resort. Kind of a bittersweet feeling to be walking around by yourself, just taking in whatever you want to see, yet knowing you're leaving the next day. :(

Very nice prom pictures!

:sad1:

You know how Disney is basically one big nature preserve? Well, here is living proof.

Check out these little babies and their mama

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but those ducks are all animatronic. :rotfl2:

I felt powerless to my picture OCD.

I know that feeling.

Yep, that sounds like some great ideas! I think this could be kind of fun! :goodvibes

I know you will do a fabulous job at explaining everything. I just love your pictures and your explanations.

To your comment about the digital age - my first trip or two to Disney with my boys was pre digital. So annoying now to think about how close we where to it, yet so far away. On a bright note - I did make a fun scrap book with pictures from my first trip. I probably wouldn't have done that had it been digital.

Thanks for the wine rescue! Got it home safe and sound thanks to you!!

Yeah! :cool1: I am glad the carrier held up for another transfer. That Williamsburg winery is the only one I have been to which gives a carrier like that and its so handy.

The duck family is too cute!!

They were precious. It reminded me of the time we saw the duck family at the BCV pool and that little boy kept chasing one of the ducklings. These were much smaller.

Great prom pics!

Thank you!

Saying goodbye to DIS friends at the end of a trip does stink. So happy to hear you are planning another trip!! :thumbsup2

This year I really felt like I was missing out on F&G, so I think its time to go back. Why are there so many great Disney seasons that force me to plan another trip? :rolleyes1

Cynthia- sorry for your bad day. Why do people have to be soooo annoying?

Annoying co-workers are truly THE WORST! :sad2:

Hope you both have a great Mother's Day!!!!

Thanks! I had a really nice day yesterday visiting with my parents and my family.

Thanks for sharing the prom pictures Mary Ellen! They both looked great!

Thanks Amy! They both looked great and I wish I had taken better pictures. Oh well. I just stink at photographing people, but I guess they're OK.

We ran into some baby ducks on our trip too. I'll have pictures around Day 5.

Aren't they so precious. Can't wait to see your baby duckies!

Wonderful prom pics. They look lovely. is that his girlfirend? or just a friend?

Thanks Jen. That is his girlfriend. They have been dating since 10th grade - over two years and they will be attending the same college next year. She is a lovely girl. It's going to be sad when they break up. I guess I shouldn't say that but I just can't picture them together long term because they started dating so young. But I guess you never know!

Great Beach club shots.

Thank you! It was such a gorgeous evening that night. Perfect!

And the ducks,......I would have been snapping away too. They are just too cute.

They were way cuter than my pictures can even start to capture. It was just one of those wonderful moments of mother nature.

Beautiful prom pics. They've been together a while now right?

Thanks. Yes, they have. they have been dating for about 2 1/2 years. I can't believe it. They really are very good friends and get along very well. They did almost break up this year when she started getting a little clingy. But they're back on track now.

Those duck pictures are just precious! You have to watch this video, it makes me cry every time http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VAqWC3Cpny8

OMG - that was SO cute. I can't even believe it. How sweet. thanks for posting. That's why I so wished I had my phone because I know this would have been a great video.

Love the resort pictures. BWV is one mom has no desire to try so I'm going to have to save that for a solo trip, it looks fantastic though.

It really is fantastic. Bummer that your mom has no interest. I can't really say I had a huge interest (expect for the amazing location), but once I stayed there it just completely won me over. So, once you've tried all the other resorts maybe you can talk your mom into it. :upsidedow

Oh Mary Ellen, your little boy is all grown up and headed to the prom with a beautiful young lady. Nick looks so handsome!

Thank goodness the cute little duck family came by to distract you from your sadness of Cynthia leaving. They were adorable! I've heard those "don't touch it or the mother will reject" it stories but I don't know if they are true or not. :confused3

Gorgeous pictures around the resort and of your journey over to Epcot!

No need to wait for mom, I'll just plan on BWV for a solo trip. I was looking over my 2014 calendar and there are some holes that need to be filled  but then again I still need to get to HHI and Vero Beach at some point... I'm glad I have most of my life to use my DVC :rotfl:

I just love that duck video. It warms my heart to see God's creations working together like that :)

The prom pictures are great!! So cute.

Thanks! They were both so good about posing for pictures!

So sad Cynthia had to leave early. :( Hopefully your May 2014 will work out!

Well, originally our trip was supposed to be 6 nights but because of flights I got to stay an extra night. So it wasn't like she was leaving early. I got a bonus day!!

OH MY GOODNESS... that duck story is the cutest thing ever! If I had been at that pool, I would have been the fourth person watching.

:rotfl: If that had been a more crowded pool everyone would have been watching - well, except for the teenage girls who were more interested in sun worshipping. :rotfl:

Your pictures of the Epcot resort area are so gorgeous! I just love that area. MUST STAY THERE.

You MUST! It really is a wonderful area. I have been checking everyday to see if my waitlist comes through for October. I would be so thrilled if it did, but for some reason I am not hopeful. Boo! Anyway - I know I will eventually get back there.

Glad you liked! :thumbsup2

Beautiful prom pictures.

Thank you! They are a lovely couple and I'm glad they don't mind having their picture take.

Love Momma duck and her ducklings...so very cute.

They were SO adorable. And they definitely weren't there two days earlier so it makes one wonder where that might have been hiding all that time.

Great pictures around the Boardwalk...looking forward to our stay there in December.

You are going to LOVE it! It's such an awesome resort! You've really been getting your share of the Epcot resorts, lucky girl!

Happy Mother's Day.

Thanks! I hope you had a wonderful day yesterday. I really had a good time!

Those prom pix are gorgeous !! Did you take them??

Thanks. I did! They turned OK. I wish I could get my portraits a tad clearer, but then I would have to be patient and set up the tripod.

The girls just got their Senior year pix proofs , some really cute pix, they even took one of both of them!!Tomorrow we will figure out which package or if we want to go ala carte !!Those things are NOT cheap!!!

How great they were able to get a picture together. I loved that. And - NO - they are definitely NOT cheap at all! In fact, I can't believe how expensive they are considering they are all digital.

Have a great Mother's Day with your family.:goodvibes

Thanks. I hope you and your family have had a wonderful day! :goodvibes

Happy Mother's Day, Mary Ellen!

Thanks Wendy! I had a really nice day yesterday. :thumbsup2

Happy Mother's Day!

Thanks Alicia! I hope you first official Mother's Day was wonderful! :flower3:

Thanks for sharing the prom pictures, they all look great. (My younger brother recently had his senior prom, and he and his date look so awkward in all their photos, so it's nice to see someone got some good shots.:rotfl2:)

Glad you liked the prom pics. Nick and his GF have been dating for over two years, so they are pretty relaxed when it comes to posing. Plus his GF's dad and grand dad take a lot of pictures so they are used to the paparazzi!

Those ducks look adorable! Oh, I would've sat and stared at them all afternoon...And I'm glad that all the little ones managed to make it out of the pool. Whenever you see a mama animal with her babies, there's usually always that one that lags behind.

I could have watched them all afternoon. They were so, so cute! I never expected to have that much entertainment at the pool.

Ironically enough, when a wild cat had kittens by my house, I ended up taking the straggler because she was left out in the rain and now she's one of my fur babies of 4 years. I don't think you could've gotten away with that, though. Airport security might've had a word or two to say to you if you did..:rotfl:

What a sweet story about how you adopted you fur baby. I think you're right - there is always one straggler, or runt, so to speak. Nope, don't think I could have gotten that duck home in my carry-on. :rotfl:

Happy Mothers Day ladies :)

Thanks Pam. Hope you and your mom had a great day yesterday!

Hi ladies! I'm sorry for falling so far behind. Too much life, I tell you. :confused3 And you don't have to respond to all my ramblings. I have to work in an order, otherwise I get confused. Hehehe.

Danielle - Welcome Back! I have really missed you on the boards and your witty TRs. Come Back!!!!!!!

Hahahaha. A sherpa that can't close their bag. That's hilarious. I stopped allowing people to let me be the sherpa.

Stick around for my suitcase picture on departure. I can't believe I got it closed. I promise to do better this June.

VWL is one of the resorts that we've had ownership in the longest. And yet I've only stayed there once. Gotta change that for sure.

YES! The lack of storage in the bathroom is exactly the problem with having an accessible bathroom! I've gotten them twice in recent years. And I have a lot of bathroom products! Coffee table movement.....hmmm......

Wow - only once? It is such a pretty resort. We are reserved there for part of our October trip. I really want our waitlist for BWV to come through, but if it doesn't I'm sure we will be happy there.

Yeah that accessible BR was tough for storing all our girl stuff. Glad we were able to make due. Who needs a coffee table anyway? ;)

YAY! Drunk little cucumber!!!! The cucumber bits on the bottom soaked in margarita are the best part.

I ordered that drink in your honor. It's very much like the jalapeño. Blindfolded I probably couldn't tell the difference.

There is a connection with alcohol and food tasting different for sure. My brother used to tell me that all the time when he was a server. He said it's actually best, if you're not a wine drinker, to stick with water at meals because you'll taste everything.

Good point. I usually do only drink wine or water with meals. I'm not into those foo-foo mixed drinks. I like something with a stable alcohol content. :rotfl:

Nice liquor store!

:rotfl2: Yeah - we were really well stocked in the rum department. :rotfl:

Correction. You were greeted by a deer butt......:rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

Dumbotown! Haha. Cause seriously.....it is.

New Dumbo is short, isn't it? Man. You get all hyped up and then BAM! It's done.

It is! Dumbotown AND short! Such a cute ride. I'm sure we'll skip it in June since my nephews are no longer going. Boo.

I'm the opposite on trips. My photo documenting skills are excellent at first. And then they drop off along the way.

I sort of fluctuate. I go through periods where I am really good and then other times I feel like I'm going to scream if I take the camera out one more time.

Haha. Cynthia, your aunt did what my parents constantly did to us, with trying to embarrass. Which is why my brother and I pass that on to the kids now. We torment them endlessly. Hehehe.

You? No. :faint: :rotfl2:

That was a great video tribute. Very touching.

Thank you and thanks for taking the time to listen.

I love the meet and greets at Storybook Circus. We didn't encounter lines there over Thanksgiving either.

Do you think I can get Denny in there in June? I'm going to try. :rotfl:

Yes.....skinny girl wine tastes like crap.

Shocking!

The seminar sounds really cool. I always look at them when we go to F&W, but never end up booking anything.

I'm so glad Cynthia planned the seminars because they were really fun. I'm like you. I probably wouldn't plan it, but I was more than happy to go along.

Mmmm. F&W adventuring. My favorite kind.

Cynthia, you're not a dork doing research on the F&W items you want to try! I always do that before I go down.

I am definitely going to do more research this October. I just sort of jumped in blind, which was fun. But next time I want to be more prepared.

Your home version of the sauce looks great!

It really does, doesn't it? I bet it was relish!

Hahahahaha. A little too much imbibing, huh? Nice "doggy" pictures.

You drink. You do the doggy thing. The cycle of life.

Soarin' FP mojo!

That will probably NEVER happen again!

What a fun rest of the night you had. I love being with large groups of people. It's part of why I'm so looking forward to our summer trip.

I wish I had the energy to hang with them. Since the trip I have gotten to know Jenny on the boards and she seems great to hang out with.

Yes, that used to be Discovery Island. We used to go there all the time back in the day.

I bet that was cool when it was up and running. It's one of the things I really wished I had seen.

I'm so glad you were able to have that moment with Tracy. Even though your update didn't turn out how you wanted in the end, you were able to spend time with her.

I know we are both so thankful for the time we got to spend with Tracy. I feel very lucky that I got to meet and know her and that I got to spend time with her during her last trip to Disney.

That was definitely a big DISmeet. And pictures to prove it!

I'm so glad we pulled it off. :thumbsup2

AWESOME! You guys were April, May, and June. I love it.

Cynthia was the mastermind behind the costumes. She did a great job. I had so much fun dressing up. It was great (except when the wig started to itch).

Nice fireworks pics! I haven't seen Hallowishes in years.

Cool that you did a preview to Enchanted Tales with Belle. We didn't do that over Thanksgiving because the line was just crazy.

That's probably the only time I will ever do it, so it was fun and a nice surprise that we got to go in there.

All right! I'll do more catching up later, even though I know you've pretty much come to the end.

No worries. I still have a few more updates to go. I took a lot of pictures my last night.

Happy
Mothers
Day
All.:cutie:

Thanks! I hope you and your family had a great day!!!!!

Just to let you know, my cooking yesterday was successful! I made ice cream from a 1750s cookbook, the strawberry ice cream was a big hit! The day was very exhausting, i came home had a drink & conked out. Oh blissful sleep!

Doris - that is SO cool. I bet it was delicious and probably so rich and creamy. Strong Work. I bet you were exhausted!

Voting will be closing shortly.

Just for kicks if you haven't guessed yet...you may want to make a guess as to what the boys would have picked if they decided to stray from their stated requests of ride or funny t shirts. I did take pictures of ones that do not fall into either category....

Just sayin'

:rolleyes1

Hello ladies! I am finally caught up with your TR (I have just not had time or energy for DISing this past week at all.)

Yeah for being caught up! How was your trip???? Welcome Back. I hope you had a fabulous time and get a chance to update your TR!

First, let me wish you both a Happy Mother's Day. Cynthia, I hope that you managed to eek a little bit of time for yourself with your family in all of your craziness and must do's today.

Thanks. I hope you had a great day. Judging by Cynthia's FB pictures, I think she ended up having a pretty nice day.

MEK I am SOOO Glad that you have a new job in the wind AND that your June trip is back on. I was so disappointed when I read it was looking cancelled.

Well, my brother and his family canceled, but Denny and I are still going. I am looking forward to a couples trip. It's actually been awhile since just Denny and I went away for any period of time. It should be fun!

You both have such great photos from Epcot for your last day. those kiosk foods look awesome. That Kerry gold / Irish plate looks just like the Fisherman's Lunch that is served at Granny McCarthy's tea room up by me. Its my hands down favorite.

Everything I tried at F&W was delicious and I seriously only scratched the surface. I definitely have to try to do more this year. :thumbsup2

I have no guesses on tee's - I have to go back and look at them all over. I've been popping on and off the boards today in between groceries, dinner, and putting together a gazebo on the deck. (yes, restful mother's day, right? :rolleyes1)

Putting together a gazebo? Now THAT's ambitious. Now, it doesn't sound like the most restful mother's day ever, but I still hope it was a great day.

MEK LOVE LOVE the prom pictures. Nick looks so very handsome, and his date's dress is amazing. love that layered look this year - so stylish and pretty. Glad to see that she picked something elegant.

Thank you! Yeah - Nick was having fun with the pictures and his GF's dress was gorgeous. So were her shoes, but that picture didn't turn out so I didn't post it. She has had that dress for months. She is very close to her grandmother and she went shopping with her. It was a gorgeous dress. Things certainly have changed since I went to my senior prom.

Love the ducks ...so cute.

They were more precious than you can even imagine.

Glad I got to scroll through the pictures before heading off to school this morning.
Sweet prom pictures.

Thank you! They both looked great and they had a fabulous time.

Cute ducks and duck story. :lovestruc

OMG - those ducks were so precious and so entertaining. Definitely the highlight of the afternoon.

Love the resort pictures, of course. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I just love the beach club and the boardwalk resorts. How could I pass over an opportunity to take multiple pictures, especially after Cynthia left.

Hope you had a very nice Mother's Day weekend!

I had a great weekend. Thanks! I hope yours was wonderful, too!

Hopr everyone had a great mother's day !! Mine was great and busy!! Have a full day today as well!!

Thanks Rosie. I had a great weekend. Glad to hear you had an awesomely full and wonderful Mother's day as well. :flower3:

Just gorgeous and wow, Nick really does look like you! Kendall enjoyed checking out Nick's dates dress, it was fun actually at dinner after her soccer game we were looking at Nick's pictures, Patricia's Emily and a whole host of other girls and checking out the dresses :goodvibes

I saw Emily's pictures and she looked beautiful and I loved her dress, too. Nick's GF has had this dress for months. It really was beautiful and they looked great together.

Was it Nick or Brian that was calling it creepy? :lmao:

That was Brian! :rotfl2: Brian who used to have a Facebook account with over 800 friends. :rotfl2: Nothing creepy about that? :sad2:

I do look FAR too happy in that picture. Seems the wine at the kiosks and then the poolside cocktail momentarily were keeping my sadness at bay

:rotfl2:

Funny how that happens! :rotfl: Well, you looked great as you were leaving. I was pretty relaxed that afternoon, too and it carried right over into the evening.

It really was a great trip. Usually I feel a little sad when I go home, but I just felt like this was a great trip with a lot of variety and dimension to it. So there were no post trip blues. That's important. And - yes- I bet plotting for an add-on helped with the post trip blues. :thumbsup2

I'll be activating my PAP in Dec so will have to get at least one more trip on it...May works pretty darn well if you ask me! :thumbsup2

Yeah for May! :cool1: All the F&G pictures I have seen this year really are making me want a spring trip. I'm sure it will be a ton of fun!

I promise you Mary Ellen, I am back and posting with a vengeance. I have to finish some of them, because otherwise my epic July TR will not be so epic. And it's going to have Joaquin in it.....it's bound to be epic. :rotfl2:

ONWARD!

Awesome that Nick got into 8 of his 9 choices. That's great!

In all seriousness, I have to write detailed notes of my trips. Otherwise I would never remember everything that happens. Which is why I always bring my trust iPad and wireless keyboard. Because I can type like a fiend. If I didn't....my updates would be like "look.....castle....." ;) Even if you feel you lack in narrative or don't remember details, your pictures are always tons of fun!

I heard....ride the bulldozer was fun!

I love the queue at the Little Mermaid. So much detail, and it is leaps and bounds above the Little Mermaid in Disneyland.

If I ever saw PR filming in the parks, I can guarantee that I would likely attempt to photobomb, and get promptly ejected from the park.

Yay for making it to rope drop! Every time I've intended to make it....fail....anytime I don't intend to make it....I get there.

Hahaha, that's an awesome story how you got the title! That could not have gone better if you planned it.

You know....Gaston is kind of doing the Captain Morgan pose with his statue....just saying....

Aw, boo to an underwhelming meal. That stinks.

The paths at the Poly are great....until you get lost. ;)

Ugh. I can't stand that at some of the nicer restaurants, people don't make an effort. I remember once, my Dad and I went to the Yachtsman, looked nice, and no one else in there made an effort. It was a little bit of a let down.

Well, it is as if fate stepped in to give you a pleasant diversion after saying goodbye to Cynthia. Those ducks were in the right place at the right time! :rotfl2: It is kind of funny seeing them in the pools though.

It was a pleasant diversion. Those ducks were just adorable, especially since they were so new to the world and their surroundings.

There was a family of ducks hanging out around the rocks and in the water near the stream that feeds into the pool at Wilderness Lodge when we stayed there a couple of years ago. DS was fascinated by them.

I bet. I just love watching duck families. It really is mother nature at its best. You can see how much their maternal instincts kick it. It's lovely.

Nice pictures of the resort. Kind of a bittersweet feeling to be walking around by yourself, just taking in whatever you want to see, yet knowing you're leaving the next day. :(

I really tried not to focus on the leaving part. I tried to focus on just enjoying the evening and having no plans whatsoever. I just sort of moved according to my every whim. It was perfect.

Very nice prom pictures!

Thanks! they are a great couple!

It was sad!

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but those ducks are all animatronic. :rotfl2:

Of course they are. I KNEW that! :rotfl:

I know that feeling.

My OCD was kicking in BIG time with the pictures that evening. Watch out!

Oh Mary Ellen, your little boy is all grown up and headed to the prom with a beautiful young lady. Nick looks so handsome!

Thanks! He does seem so grown up and he seems to be enjoying every minute of it. :thumbsup2

Thank goodness the cute little duck family came by to distract you from your sadness of Cynthia leaving. They were adorable! I've heard those "don't touch it or the mother will reject" it stories but I don't know if they are true or not. :confused3

That duck family was SO adorable. It took all my self control not to give that little guy a push up the ledge. Apparently, the touch thing is a myth. ;)

Gorgeous pictures around the resort and of your journey over to Epcot!

Thank you! It was the most perfect evening and I felt like I had that whole area of beach to myself. It was lovely.

No need to wait for mom, I'll just plan on BWV for a solo trip. I was looking over my 2014 calendar and there are some holes that need to be filled

:rotfl2: I love that Pam - holes that need to be filled! :rotfl2: What better to fill them with than a solo trip to BWV. You are going to love it. Be prepared to love it so much that it might become you first choice. Just sayin!

but then again I still need to get to HHI and Vero Beach at some point... I'm glad I have most of my life to use my DVC :rotfl:

Isn't DVC great? I highly recommend you try out both resorts. I haven't been to Vero in such a long time and I would really like to get back there one of these days. I could see maybe doing a Vero/HHI driving trip. But it would be REALLY hard to skip over WDW.

I just love that duck video. It warms my heart to see God's creations working together like that :)

That was a wonderful video. Thanks so much for posting. See - if I had my phone to take video I would have had an equally heart warming video. I rarely take video, but this would have been the perfect occasion!

Thanks. I hope you had a great day. Judging by Cynthia's FB pictures, I think she ended up having a pretty nice day.

I did. Thankfully we LOVED the new pastor and it was a great start to the day though I was admittedly cranky about not being able to sleep in and ran late as a result. K's team lost which...we wanted, no Hawaii drama so that's good too. She had a good first half, wish the 2nd would have been better for the whole team, her included, not an ideal end to the season. Now we wait to hear how her tryout last night went and whether she is off to tryouts again tomorrow or not. Fingers crossed for her!

We got a small hike/walk in, it was SO nice to be out and the weather cooperated which it wasn't supposed to do so it all put me in a pretty good mood for the larger family thing. Of course it helped that...the weather cooperated so we sent all the kids to the park for the bulk of the afternoon and the adults just got to enjoy each other. A busy day but a nice one.

I saw Emily's pictures and she looked beautiful and I loved her dress, too. Nick's GF has had this dress for months. It really was beautiful and they looked great together.

I admit, I think of all the dresses, Emily's was my favorite. K is missing her prom this weekend (she's a junior anyway so would only be going if asked) to go to the Cal Poly ID camp but might be headed to another schools next weekend so that will be fun to see pictures of! K's favorite was actually a blue dress that 2 girls she knew both got. It was a very pretty blue that's for sure. Maybe she can borrow it for the dance she might go to :goodvibes

That was Brian! :rotfl2: Brian who used to have a Facebook account with over 800 friends. :rotfl2: Nothing creepy about that? :sad2:

I thought that was so funny, I mean I could see him thinking it was weird for the first trip but this was the 2nd!

Yeah for May! :cool1: All the F&G pictures I have seen this year really are making me want a spring trip. I'm sure it will be a ton of fun!

Yay for May is right!

I promise you Mary Ellen, I am back and posting with a vengeance. I have to finish some of them, because otherwise my epic July TR will not be so epic. And it's going to have Joaquin in it.....it's bound to be epic. :rotfl2:

I like that - Posting with a VENGEANCE! Way to go. I will definitely be following along with your TRs. I am ready for a few belly laughs! :rotfl2:

ONWARD!

Awesome that Nick got into 8 of his 9 choices. That's great!

I was very proud of him and I can't say I'm sorry that he made the UD decision. I just have a gut feeling that he's really going to like it there and he's going to be happy to graduate without student loans.

I wish I had an iPad, but ever since I bought this new mac book pro I just can't justify it. If I actually just get out my note pad on my mac and jot some things down in June I will do SO much better. I used to be able to remember every detail. Now - not so much! :rolleyes1

I heard....ride the bulldozer was fun!

It would be fun, once I got by the terrifying part! :rotfl:

I love the queue at the Little Mermaid. So much detail, and it is leaps and bounds above the Little Mermaid in Disneyland.

Really? Good to know. It is a beautiful queue and I really want to see it in the evening. I am so looking forward to dragging Denny on there in June!

If I ever saw PR filming in the parks, I can guarantee that I would likely attempt to photobomb, and get promptly ejected from the park.

:lmao: I could totally see you making a photo bomb attempt! :lmao:

Yay for making it to rope drop! Every time I've intended to make it....fail....anytime I don't intend to make it....I get there.

Well, at least your consistent. My other goal for June is to make it to rope drop at the MK. EVen if I have to set my alarm or skip my run all together, we ARE going to get there and there WILL be pictures to prove it!

Hahaha, that's an awesome story how you got the title! That could not have gone better if you planned it.

I just can't believe we ran into Tina like that. I still don't know if I would have recognized her if she hadn't sad something. I totally miss Tina on the boards and I hope she comes back someday.

You know....Gaston is kind of doing the Captain Morgan pose with his statue....just saying....

That he is! :rotfl:

Aw, boo to an underwhelming meal. That stinks.

Yeah LTT veggie burger was a big fat bomb. No more veggie burgers there or at WDW anywhere. I have learned my lesson!

The paths at the Poly are great....until you get lost. ;)

:rotfl: Yes - bet fortunately you eventually get found again. Well, maybe not at night. Those paths are pretty dark.

Ugh. I can't stand that at some of the nicer restaurants, people don't make an effort. I remember once, my Dad and I went to the Yachtsman, looked nice, and no one else in there made an effort. It was a little bit of a let down.

It IS a bit of a let down. I totally agree. I wear a uniform to work, so I really enjoy a chance to dress up a bit, even its just a sun dress. I will totally be doing that again this summer. :thumbsup2

Fingers totally crossed for her on her tryouts. I am sure she will do fabulous!

I'm so glad you got the hike in. It just looks so beautiful. I wish I could go hiking someplace like that close to home, but alas....never going to happen. Denny and I did go for a bike ride on Saturday morning and that was really fun. Its so hard for me to ride my racing bike anymore. The whole position is uncomfortable, but i got new cleats last year and they are pretty super awesome. So hopefully after a few more rides I'll get my "bike legs".

I admit, I think of all the dresses, Emily's was my favorite. K is missing her prom this weekend (she's a junior anyway so would only be going if asked) to go to the Cal Poly ID camp but might be headed to another schools next weekend so that will be fun to see pictures of! Emily's dress really was beautiful. And I saw pictures that Jackie posted of Chelsea on FB and they were gorgeous. I just wish we had dresses to wear like that when we went to prom.

Sorry K is going to miss the prom, but I hope her camp goes really well like the other one did. I'm sure she'll do great.

I thought that was so funny, I mean I could see him thinking it was weird for the first trip but this was the 2nd!

Yeah - I think he got confused. :rotfl: During the first trip he was still such a bad @$$ that he probably didn't even notice. This was a delayed reaction.

Yay for May is right!

Yeah!!!!! I am waiting to buy the other half of my October flight so, in the event something has to be changed or I can rebook for credit, I can use that credit next May!

I am also going to get another TIW in June. I literally figured out where we are eating and calculated out the price of what I think we "might" eat. I included one alcoholic drink per person for the dinner meals and we just broke even on the $100 cost. I told Denny we will just have to drink more!

Ack. All caught up sitting at the airport getting ready to board.

Prom pictures look great. Love the duck story too. Too cute.

I will have to come back and comment more.

Tried to comment but having trouble getting it to "go".

Well guess what it went anyway. :rotfl:
