Great last minute pictures of WL. I get that way sometimes too.
It's hard not to, isn't it? It's like this frenzied craze that comes over me.
How wonderful to run into Sheree once again.
I can't believe we kept running into her. that was pretty cool that we had so many of the same things on the agenda!
I love your pictures of the lodge and the parade!
I love wl. We stayed there for a Christmas trip in 2011. My dh loved it so much it is his all time favorite. It was hard to get him to leave the hotel. I had thought about taking the lodge tour but didn't- now I really wish I had.
I remember reading about your trip and your stay at WL. I really think its the perfect place for a Christmas stay. We had wanted to stay there at Christmas, but had a last minute date change and ended up at OKW.
The lodge tour is great because they tell you a bunch of interesting factoids about the building of the lodge. Very interesting.
I think for the next trip this parade is going to be high atop my list of to do's.
somehow I have missed it the last few trip. I may have caught a glimpse... But not had the luck of finding a nice space to just chill out and watch. That is so cool you stumbled into a spot!
It's a neat parade and we were extremely lucky to find such great viewing spots! That never happens to me. Ever!
Ack- the dis ap on my phone was freaking out a bit and when I typed that first line it had it words offset from each other. I wondered how it would post. Well it didn't! I will have to get on my computer to edit the post tonight
It really doesn't look bad at all. No worries. I have trouble with that app sometimes myself. Hard to see the pictures. So much easier on the computer, that's for sure.
What a wonderful update filled with beautiful pictures yet again. Although I'm not sure I'll ever be sold on staying at the WL, I have to say that your pictures of the resort are breathtaking.
Thanks! I do think you have to "want" to stay there to really like it. It is definitely the darkest of all the resorts and the one that is the least "tropical" shall we say. But it does have its merits. I wouldn't stay there every trip, but I'm glad I have the option of visiting it whenever I want to (as long as I book in time)
I have yet to see the Electrical Parade at the MK since it came back and I am determined to see it one of our trips this year. I'm with you...love the dragon float the best.
You must see it this summer! The dragon float is definitely the coolest!
And I ALWAYS nap during COP...it's my resting time while Mark watches the show.

Funny - Denny really likes CoP and NEVER falls asleep. One trip he tried to go in there for a third time. I vetoed that.
HOLY COW LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!!!!
From Mouse Planet as part of an article on he history of the Boardwalk. Jim Korkis wrote the whole article Link to it
HERE
Nanny Chairs
Placed on either side of the fireplace are the scary "nanny chairs" that were originally found on 19th century European carrousels. They were intended for adults to rest upon while their children rode the moving animals. From this concept developed the more traditional "chariot" benches. It would have been inappropriate for female nannies to even ride side saddle on a carousel horse. These reproductions were cast from circa 1889 originals, hand painted and highlighted with gold leaf. In a moment of cleverness, the two Imagineers involved in the reproductions printed their names on the back of each chair: Todd and Paul.
Totally makes sense now..... well maybe, but why are they so creepy??
Pat - this is TOTALLY COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe you found the answer to the mystery behind Paul and Todd.

I love that. The whole article was really interesting and now I know they have a trial tour going on at the Boardwalk. I so want to do it. I want to see if its possible to check it out this summer. I just love the Boardwalk because of its Atlantic City/Coney Island theme. I would love to learn more about all the cute little decorations and collectibles.
Thanks for posting this!
Wow,great update! I hope to catch the Electrical Parade some day, it looks like such fun.
Thank you! The ELP is actually really cool. You should definitely check it out. I'm not sure which I like better - ELP or Spectro. They are both awesome night time parades.
I understand. Life just gets in the way sometimes. I'm glad your mom is ok.
Thanks. It was nothing serious. She had bad gout and couldn't walk. she's doing better now.
I definitely want to stay at BW sometime, but I would definitely have a hard time leaving WL in a split stay.
It really is hard having a split stay between two great resorts. It's probably easier when its a longer stay, but four nights is barely enough.
Considering that's all we ever pack for vacation, I guess I'll just leave Citricos off our list of future places to try...

Well, maybe you can dress it up with a Tie or black shoes?
Maybe you should have gone back to FL to see if Gaston remembered you?

I have a feeling Gaston probably remembered us - well, at least for a day.
It is a classic in it's own way. Not like a Space Mountain, but it does hold a special place in my heart.
It is definitely a classic. I do enjoy it, except I think I have the script memorized now.....so that's probably why sleep came easier.
But I can definitely understand that, especially at the end of the day.
Just like in Test Track - I think they need a bar in CoP.
Great WL pictures! I think that might be the next place I stay at WDW! Or Boardwalk, depending on your next set of pictures!
When you see the view we had at the Boardwalk I think I know where you are going to want to stay.

Seriously, you can't go wrong with either resort. they are both awesome!
Wow, I just keep showing up in your TR - really, I wasn't stalking you guys or anything! It was fun to keep bumping into you though! After the BIG DISmeet, we kept our eyes open for people we "knew"!
Hmmmmm.......stalking? Nah - more like great minds think alike!
Hope you're not getting slammed with the storm too bad! We had a tough day yesterday - first snow day in about 7 years for my kids
Can you believe that after all that hype we got absolutely NO snow? I don't even think I saw a flurry. But trust me - I am not at all upset about that. I can't wait for all my OCD neighbors to take down the stupid sticks they have outlining their driveways in case we really do need to get plowed.
