but if this goes through, is there a problem with the boards lately?
For the last few days I can't get into any forum and after 3 minutes trying on 4 or 5 forums each I just stop. All my other sites are fine.

Yes, the boards are being persnickety. Something to do with moon in apogee, solar eclipse, Mayan calendar, magnetosphere in flux, Euclidian geometry...usual stuff.

It's not just you...the DIS has been REALLLLLLLY slow lately. It seems to happen periodically for some reason.

I don't know what's worse...the slow boards or the fact that I am so used to it now I am not phased?

At times over the past few days, the DIS servers have been maxed out with well over 3500 users online at once. When that happens, we all have to take turns.

At this moment (1/19/12@6:06pm) - we have 2953 users online (903 registered users and 2050 guests).

New servers have been ordered (and will have a very positive affect on site speed), but are not yet ready (we expected them a number of weeks ago).
