Oh man how I am so done with looking for one reservation and when it FINALLY shows up tonight, I get the dreaded error message. Not only that, I went out and back in and the reservation was still there….only to see the error message again.
Dumb me for telling my girls we finally got it and lost it.
Here I go to searching again. It seems like they should have it set up like any other system where you have a certain amount of time to book it. But oh well, I must be quicker than the next guest

Just happy we are going to our happy place!

1) With thousands of people making ADR's, can you imagine how many "held" ressies there would be?
2) You need to make the ressie as soon as you see it . . . rooms or eats.

I did make it as soon as I saw it, both times, but I still got the "Paws" message. I only meant if once a guest clicked on the time it would hold for a minute or two so you could actually grab the reservation and book it. I didn't mean an indefinite time. I understand there are thousands of people trying to make reservations at any given time, but it just makes it frustrating when you see the time available (in my case, two times in a row), yet you still cannot get the time because of an error.

1) I hear you.
2) But . . .
3) Let's assume 100 people on-line for a ressie, and several want THAT time and THAT day.
4) If they delayed the booking, several might have to go elsewhere.
5) This means they could not get a ressie they wanted.
6) So, making folks book immediately (if not sooner) if fair to all.
7) The assumption is that you know what you are searching and will take it if open.
. . . we book a lot of ADR's at the Resort Concierge Desk
. . . or, at least we try to
. . . when folks ask for an ADR, I tell them they need to let me book it, if available
. . . there may very well be no time to think about it
. . . and, there usually isn't
8) With over 50-million guests per year, there is not enough time to have "decision time".

I completely understand this logic, however I am not hoping for time to ponder my decision, just the time allowed to book it when I click on it.

When I searched for CRT and the time showed available, I immediately clicked on the time. Then I received the error message. I wasn't contemplating my decision at all. So of course seeing the message, I tried to go back in and saw that the same time was still available and I was still logged in. The same time was still there and I again immediately clicked on it, only to receive the error message again.

Wouldn't it make sense, if when I click on that time, it is mine as long as I go through the booking process immediately? I was prepared to do that (CC info always stored) but never got the chance with the error message. We have fought the Disney reservation system for years now, meals and rooms (DVC), and I know there will always be glitches. I did call the reservation line and tried to get help, but it was long gone by then. She was more than helpful and did suggest always calling when I see it available, but it would be gone just as quickly by the time I got through to a CM. Oh well, I will be happy we are coming and know that someone is going to enjoy CRT!

I agree when you select a time it should cache for you. There must be a reason why it doesn't. It may be that the system has a hoarding prohibition in place. It may also time out after a while.

The system stinks, they need a huge upgrade. It's not like they don't know their website will be swamped all day and all night.
