Just a few questions I need clarified:

I have never been to CRT before. (Been to WDW several times) I am going with DD 13 and myself in September for a "girls" trip.

Can I try to get the reservation at 180 days? If so, my 180 day mark is March 18, a Saturday. When can I call?

I am purchasing a Dining Plan, but won't use it for CRT (I don't think). How does this effect how I pay/pre-pay my reservation?

What are the hours for Breakfast and Lunch?

How much does it cost?

What's this new "photo package" I am hearing about?

Thanks very much! :earsgirl:

Yes, you can book at 180 days. You will have to prepay for the meal, for everyone, at the time of booking. If you are on the DP and choose not to use it for CRT, that's fine.
And yes, you can call on Sat...just call as early as you can. The breakfast goes quickly.
I can't help with the rest since I have't been since they 'redid' the meals. I believe the breakfast is around $30 and the lunch closer to $40. I have heard there is a photo that is included in that price. I'm sure someone can give you much more definative info though.

This is an excerpt from AllEars:

CHANGES AT CINDERELLA'S ROYAL TABLE!

Beginning February 1, 2006, dining at Cinderella's Royal Table will undergo several changes:

-- Breakfast and Lunch will continue as Disney Princess-themed character meals. However, when you arrive at Cinderella Castle for your reservation, a photographer will be on hand to take pictures of your group in the lobby, before you are seated in the dining room. A package with four 4x6 prints and one 6x8 print of your photo, as well as one 6x8 print of Cinderella Castle, in a Cinderella photo holder (valued at $29.95 plus tax) will be delivered to you during your meal, which will be from a fixed-price, set menu. (Additional photos may be purchased.)

Breakfast: $31.99 ages 10 and up; $21.99 ages 3-9. Lunch: $33.99 ages 10 and up; $22.99 ages 3-9.

-- Dinner will become a fixed-price, set meal, also, hosted by the Fairy Godmother, who will lead the observance of special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. You will also have the chance to have your photo taken before dining, with a photo package similar to that mentioned above offered to you during the meal. In addition, you will receive a special, unframed, unmatted lithograph (worth $50), given exclusively to diners at Cinderella's Royal Table Dinner.

Dinner: $39.99 ages 10 and up; $24.99 ages 3-9.

NOTE: Once these changes go into effect (February 1, 2006), payment in full with a credit card will be required at the time of booking for all meals at Cinderella's Royal Table. If you do not have a credit card, the reservation cannot be made. All reservations for dining at Cinderella's Royal Table prior to February 1, 2006, will follow current pricing and deposit payment policies.

Magic Your Way Plus Dining Plan WILL be accepted at Cinderella's Royal Table meals, requiring TWO table service credits.

You need to call at 180 days out at 7:00 am. It hasn't been as busy or filling up since the price increase, but better safe than sorry.

Whoops, I think I was supposed to post a link instead of the excerpt. Sorry!!!

okay, so let me see if I understand what you said..

I am on the dining plan and will use 2 TS for CRT.. when I call to book, will I still have to pay via credit card, OR will they automatically log it in to my Dining plan?

Also, for CRT dinner, only Fairy Godmother will be there? No others?

Yes, you will have to pay for it when you book. Then, I believe, when you get there, they will credit your cc if you use the 2 TS pts.

I believe that Cinderella is still there, as well as other princesses. But, with the way things change at WDW, I can't be 100% sure.

I would suggest you check over at Deb Wills site, ALLears. I'm sure someone has the link.

Breakfast is usually something like 7-10 (ballpark) and then lunch 11-2 (again ballpark). No, it is not a buffet. Your food is preplated. You can get more though if you ask....at least that used to be the case. And at $32 a whack for breakfast you should be able to eat as much as you can.

Actually I just went through a CRT charge issue even though I'm on DP. Member services CM didn't realize that you don't pay at all (even though I told her) when you are on DP, so I was charged. When I called a few days later to Disney Dining to inquire, they said that no one on DP should be charged, but unfortunately they have been experiencing some glitches and lots of people have been charged. So, the answer is that, no, you should not be charged for CRT at time of booking when on DP, you may be charged due to an error, so check out your online credit card statements.

The cancellation policies are the same though, if you don't show up since you have to give you cc number at time of booking, then you will be charged in full at that time.

Good luck and happy eating! Tiger

Tiger,
So when I call to book CRT, they should not charge me because I am on the dining plan? But they will still hold my CC # on file for cancellation purposes (should I not show).. this is correct?

Reading your thread about the troubles you had with this, I now will be sure to watch for that charge, and if I see it, I will call Disney and tell them to VOID out the charge instead of refund it! ;) I'm so glad you brought that to our attention, and even more, I hope you get it resolved. I agree with you that it is the principal of the thing.. afterall, how many others have they done this to?

IF this is redundant, Sorry, but, From what I can find out........... the characters (princesses) are at CRT for the breakfast and lunch ONLY!!!!!! The only character at dinner is the fairy godmother, this takes place as of Feb. 1, 2006.

As for payment, starting Feb. 1, you MUST pre-pay with a CC to book ANY meal at CRT, regardless of wether you are on the dining plan or not --( I called last week, on a whim to see if we could possibly get a dinner ADR..... we got one, and the CM said, you are lucky....... you are getting in before all the changes.) She said that if you ARE on the dining plan, you still have to give your CC #, and then if you use your TS credits, your CC will not be charged, it is just held so that if you don't show up or cancel, you will be charged the full price. (See Tigers post........ watch for the charge if you are on the dining plan............ you are NOT suppose to be charged, just a hold).

AS of Feb. 1, 2006 -- YES, it will be 2 TS credits.

I was also told, and read that The photo package is available at each meal........ breakfast, lunch, dinner.......HOWEVER, the free lithograph that comes with the photo package is ONLY avail. at dinner --- there has been a lot of conflicting info regarding the photo package........... I was personally told by disney dining when I made my ADR's, (LAST WEEK) that the photo package will COST $29.95, others have reported that they've been told this is "included".........all I can guess is that possibly since I'm going BEFORE the changes, that if I want the package it will cost the $29.95, and anyone going AFTER the changes, then it's included????? I'm only guessing that it may be that, I don't know???

My biggest problem with it all is that no-one gives you the same answer.......... then so much is reported, you have no idea what is "real".
I'm just glad that we are able to go before all the changes.......... I've never been, and we'd like to try it, at least once!! I made all my ADR's awhile back, but then we decided to try Cindy's before the changes......... so, I called last week, and was lucky enough to get a 5:55 seating for dinner on Jan. 30th

Hollyjolly - So glad I could be of help. That is always my intention when posting as so many other DIS members help me out! The only way you have to worry about a void or refund is if you are from another country, so if that pertains to you, watch out for it.

Wendypooh - Good info for anyone needing it all in one place!

Happy eating, Tiger

re: breakfast w/ the price is going up to $32 & it staying pre-plated, what more will they offer in addition to the existing menu? does anyone know? i guess i'll keep looking at allears for more info - i would expect more of a menu, wouldn't you??

That is the reason, imho, that the photos are included. It's a lot to pay to see some princesses and have some mediocre breakfast foods. But, if you add in that photo package, then that could account for some of the addtl. cost. But, of course, then the photos aren't really free are they??!! And we know that the amount that Disney charges for those photos (when they are not 'complimentary') is not even close to what it costs them to print out!!

I totally agree with you ~~ and I for one don't like it!!! I think it should be optional for one to buy the photo's...... frankly, for that matter, it should be optional for one to even have the photo taken. At Chef Mickey's for example, you HAVE to get your photo taken before they will seat you..... at least there though ( for the time being...... lol) they don't make you pay for the photo package if you don't want it......... I wonder when that will change??? :(
