I hadn't planned on going to WDW this year, however, I'm going on a short trip in November under very sad circumstances. That being said, I've never been to WDW in November, we always go in August, so my November questions are:

1. Stupid question, I know, but is the weather still warm during the day but cool at night?

2. We're going during Teacher's Week so are the crowds ridiculous?

3. We're doing the F&W for a couple of days, any fun suggestions?

Thank you for your input. I've never paid attention to monthly questions other than August so I just learned a lesson!!!

1. It can be.
HERE are the average (and last year's) temperatures for the Orlando area.

2. Less than "ridiculous."
More than "elevated."

Were from Michigan so depends on what your version of hot is... We wore shorts and tank tops the whole time 16-20 of Nov... Didn't rain until our last day boarding the airplane :)

Never heard of teachers week. When is that?

It's (in this case) a New Jersey thing.

AKA “Jersey Week”

It's a school break when, traditionally, a LOT of New Jersey families head
to WDW.

It happens the second week in Nov. (at least in 2014.)

1) I've been down there twice during" Jersey week" and both times we had roughly 82* and 60* at night. We had 1 day when it only went to 65*, But very pleasant weather, even good pool weather. Also going this Nov. As well.

2) Crowds are roughly 5's. Pretty much the same as middle to late August.

3) yes, it's very busy on Fridays and Saturdays. Also if on the dining plan (free or not) I would suggest using your snack credits for some of the food samples at these countries kiosks. Good way to get bang for your buck....especially fisherman's pie at Ireland, and lobster roll at U.S.kiosks.

Also BTW, Jersey week is usually the 1st not 2nd week in Nov. Always coincides with election day which is the 1st Tuesday in the month.

We always head to WDW the 1st week of Nov. Our kids have off Election day and the day before, so we either do a week or a long weekend.

Weather varies. We have been there when it is hot and cold during the same week! Our pictures from last year show us wearing shorts some days and pants/long sleeves/jackets other days. I do remember that last year it was too cold to swim (my kids don't like cold pool water - some kids don't care).

Crowds are somewhat heavy, especially in EP. I'd do IFWF Mon-Thurs. if possible. I do think Jersey Week has a big impact on crowds during this week.

Have fun:thumbsup2

Thanks! Looks like Jersey time is 2-9th which ironically enough are all of our park days this year! Gotta love my timing! Thanks for the thread op. I'm also trying to get any info/tips I can for our first November trip.

We'll be there from 11/8-11/16! Jersey week is really more of a long weekend, I've found. We have gone that week for several years (my boyfriend, a state worker, gets Veterans Day off so it works best for us) and we've never noticed the crowds at unmanageable levels during that time. Just our experience...

I'll be in Orlando for a long weekend. Nov 7 - 11th. I'm a bit concerned about the crowds also. I hope the Jersey group will travel home on Sunday! Then there are a few places that have Mon & Tues off for Veteran's Day. The weather "should" be nice. I was in Tampa in December last year and it was in the low 80s! We planed a day at Discovery Cove so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for 70s or higher!

Thanks, Disfriends! I'm not a teacher and my kids are in college so I have no idea when "Jersey Week" is. All I know for a fact is, as I live in NJ, I don't see any decrease in crowd levels in the state during this particular week!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'm traveling with family members to celebrate a life cut short due to cancer. It's going to be difficult, as we have been going to WDW together for almost 10years, and we want to make this trip in her honor.

Thanks for your input on weather, etc. Since it's going to be a trip of 4 days I don't want to pack too much, but enough to cover "surprise" weather.

Sorry to hear about the circumstances of your trip. But what a good way to honor your friend!

1. Stupid question, I know, but is the weather still warm during the day but cool at night?

As PPs have said, mostly yes. We went last year and I'd say most nights we still wore t-shirts (we're from NY) and there was only 2-3 times we broke out some lightweight hoodies.

1. If you are going during early part of November usually the weather is still fairly warm during the day. Nights can be a coin toss, but I'd pack either a jacket or couple of sweatshirts just in case.

2. Jersey week crowds are still fairly manageable. Just pay attention to park crowd day recommendations from sites.

3. Not a fun suggestion, but one that will help you have some fun at F&W. Avoid the weekend and go during the week.
