There aren't any! I forgot the digital completely, and truth be told, even when I have a camera I am horrible at taking pictures with it! I have great memories! :) (darn it, I don't think you'll let me off the hook but I really dont have any pictures!) We were a sad looking "lilo's second cousins" I was in my Mickey/Minnie poly dress with DS in a matching shirt. I had on a flower lei, and one around my wrist. We were called the "matching family" by a CM, who laughed even harder when we told him we were Lilo's second cousins three times removed! The party was great, the atmosphere was just filled with joy and happiness. Everyone was having a great time. It was like all the die hard disney fans were there and all the "don't get it" people stayed home! Everyone was making nice comments about people's costumes, helping people, no line jumping, etc etc. It was an awesome night filled with smiles!

LOL!!! One more area we are alike - I can't for the life of me remember to take pictures when we go on vacation! We always come back, people ask to see our pictures, and I go "huh?!" It's kinda spooky, isn't it?!

I hope all those "die hard disney fans" are still around over Halloween weekend, when DD and I are there! It sounds like you had a blast!! :teeth: Now, if I can just figure out a costume - I'm terrible at it.

*waving to Lauren* Long time no see! Oh I am so glad your sister and you are able to plan another trip together! I am sure you'll have a wonderful time!

Tammy>> Oh I wish! Yes, I am cruising airline sites when I am not allowed to... but these things happen! :)

Alice>> TOO FUNNY! Well, for a costume just throw on a disney/poly shirt and go as Lilo's THIRD cousins! I know we have to be related somewhere down the line! *I'll write back on that letter, later!*

TO sum up>> Wasabi shrimp= GREAT!
Pop+two people= Great!
Pool=Warm!
Transportation>> Fine during normal times, but I still won't drive! It is called a VACATION! :)
Pop Food court>> Good selection/ no lines during off times
MNSSHP>> Awesome!
Getting away with one of your kids for four days with no work=Priceless!

Glad you had a great time!
I have been inspired after reading your post to make ressies for next July if not sooner. DS and myself will go without DH this next time. I will have an Ap to use again and again. :Pinkbounc Can't let a good AP go to waste, can we?
P.S. I think I am going to have to change our PS at Epcot next month so we can try the Wasabi Shrimp. Thanks.

Ohh....NOT ME!! I just whip out the Sony...and away I SNAP! Each time...DD & DH roll their eyes, and exclaim in unison, "There she goes!" ;) ::yes::

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Sometimes...I do it JUST to elicit such a remark!!!!!

DF - That's sooo funny!! This is how bad I am:

We were on a family vacation, driving from rural MO through OK, TX, NM, AZ to San Diego. On the way back, we were driving through the country around Alamagordo (military air space) and I looked out the window over my shoulder and said "what's that little dot?" DH and kids said "HEY! That's a plane!" We watched in amazement as a small Air Force jet zipped over the highway right in front of our car and out of sight, our jaws dropped. DH said "too bad we didn't have the camera!" That's when I realized, it was in my lap the whole time!  p.s. I have no pictures of the Grand Canyon.

I have had lapses...but thankfully few! (Like the time I saw BIGFOOT running beside our truck in the wilds of Colorado! :p) The plane story is amazing...and the pictures would have been awesome! None of the Grand Canyon?!? I hope you picked up some postcards!!! :)

I sometimes think I take TOO many pictures, but secretly believe there's no such thing!! (*You can never be too thin, too rich...or take too many pictures!! LOL). I carry a bag with THREE cams!! One is a video cam, one is a REAL camera (w/film), and the last is the one I use the most, a digital. I do not take as much video as I did when DD was younger. We just never seem to have the time to sit and watch our old movies, and visits. I know I'll regret this at some point, but I'll just jog the stills and make a slide show w/music and themes! :teeth:

I agree, there is no such thing as too many pictures!! Our darling Mindy:angel: felt the same way. She was going to be our family biographer, as I am so very bad at remembering to take pics and she loved it so much!! Thankfully, we do have a few pictures of our family vacation with her last year in Seaside, FL and she had a few mini-movies taken with her new toy, her digital camera. They are a source of both intense pain and great joy, but eventually they will be our only memories of her. Take as many pictures as you like, girlfriend!! They are precious.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming!! ;)

I have zero pictures of Paris taken with our own camera! Luckily, my father took many and gave us copies! :) The picture in my signature was taken by Nutz4disny when I met her and Janet2k by accident in AKL's lounge! It it wasn't for her, I'd be pictureless! *thankyouthankyouthankyou!*

Debbie - Thanks for the trip report. I know you long for the AKL, but this trip at POP sounded very magical to me.

Never thought of doing MNSSHP, but reading your description, it does sound wonderful. I have to remind myself not to under estimate the Disney touch.

We loved Le Cellier when we went last Aug, even though DS was sick that evening. Our planned anniversary celebration wound up with DW and DS back in the room, where DW ate her Le Cellier steak. While I sat in Le Cellier with DDs eating mine.

And yes there are many here who are "crazy" as your DH puts it. And not all of them are women either (if that makes a difference to him).

Oh I am so sorry your anniversary was "split up" by sickness! You'll just have to rebook for next year's anniversary!

Oh, he has his things, I have mine, I just finally started pushing for mine (20 years... it was time!). He does love Disney, and if they had great hunting/ grounds near by I am sure he'd be there with me more often! :) I have to say the cost of concierge last Easter scared him, but I made sure he didn't think about it much. He did love the great service/pampering/lounge, a lot! He also really enjoyed meeting some fellow lizards in the lounge one evening. I know her husband was being redeployed and I haven't heard from them in awhile. I do think about our lovely conversations, though!

Please rethink MNSSHP! To use the word magical really doesn't cover it! I know magic is what we bring, but it seemed like everyone was bringing some of their own, with them, too! It was a very happy night!

Yes, our trip was magical, and I would do it again in a second! I even know what section I would switch my room request to! (seventies, court yard view!)
