Sororities - Help

Alright so I am going to be a college freshmen next year and want to be in a sorority. but i am way confused on which sorority is which. I know there is like a girly one, a sporty one, an artistic one, religious based ones etc.

is there any kind of guide online as to which sorority goes to who?


I know this isnt Disney but it is college

I'm in a sorority at my school, and it really just depends on the school what the girls will be like in each one!
Honestly though, don't think about stereotypes and think about where you are happy, comfortable, and feel like you can be yourself. It's a big time and money investment to be unhappy for four years. I LOVE my sisters and chose them because I actually enjoyed myself during Rush. Actually now that I think about it, I think I talked about DCP with one of the girls! Shoulda known :]
You'll get a vibe of all the different houses...just go with your gut!

The best thing I can tell you is to go through recruitment with an open mind and to keep your options open. Each chapter is different and no generalizations can be made about a house. The campus culture of greek orgs where I live( the South) is much different than the west coast. Regardless make sure you get recommendations from sorority women before you go through the process. Also each organization has a national website as well as probably a local chapter one, that you can get information from.
