Sorcerer's Pass-DVC?

What do you think the chances would be that the Sorcerer's Pass might not be available to DVC members (except if they qualify as Florida residents) in 2026? Or at least that DVC would discontinue the ability to use [whatever it's called-the membership for extra benefits] points to buy it? My AP expires in October, and since I'm not planning to take another trip until late January/early February, I wasn't going to renew my AP, just wait and buy a new one in Jan/Feb. But what are my chances of the Sorcerer's Pass still being an option? I know nothing's guaranteed, but just wondering if anyone has an educated guess?

My gut reaction to your questions lead me to the following opinions: 1) the availability of the APs and the DVC access to the Sorcerer Pass has been very consistent since the time period during the pandemic when they stopped selling them. I see nothing that indicates they won't be available through the DVC/Sorcerer Pass option, even if you wait until 2026 to buy a new one.

2) MMB is just way too new to know if they'll extend it a second year. If I were in your shoes, and I wanted to buy using points, I would renew before the end of the year. If nothing else, the renewal is 10 points less! But that question is more of an unknown, in my opinion! Not sure any of this helps you, but I hope it might!

I don’t see it going away. But, you can buy a new voucher now and just wait to activate next year.

Those vouchers are good for one year and your next trip is within that time frame.

In terms of MMB, my guess is they won’t remove the benefit because based on reports, it seems like it’s been popular.

I bought the OTU points to reduce the points I needed

Others have two and it seems that is a big benefit of the program.

Now, what the price will be? Who knows!

AP were continently not available during the 50th anniversary of WDW except for Florida resident Pixie pass or if renewed a pre existing pass. They offered them again after the end of their 18 month celebration and to my knowledge no AP at WDW has not been for sale since. I am unaware of AP’s before 2020 being unavailable at WDW. Unlike at DL where the Magic Keys do sell out. Just my observation. DL is a locals park and WDW is a world wide destination.
