We are planning on trying Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, Wilderness Explorers and Agent P's World Showcase Adventure.
Any recommendations on the best ways to fit these in our schedule?
Any times that are better to do them?
How long should I plan for each?
Are they all worth trying?
Can each of these be started at any place in each park? (I know that each game is designated to its own park)

Ages of kids if it makes a difference: 12, 10 and 7

:thanks:

Subscribing. We did Agent P's when it was...oh I've gone blank - the other one, the spy thing. It was fun, but we weren't overly impressed. However, Sorcerors and Explorers have caught my attention. I'd love any details anyone could provide.

My husband and I are in our 30's and we don't have kids yet, but we have tried all of these - and we've had a lot of fun with them!

Sorcerers of the MK doesn't take much time - IF there aren't tons of other people doing it at the same time. We stopped playing once we started to have to wait in line to play.

Wilderness Explorers is really educational - even for 2 grown ups! :) Some of the activities are definitely aimed at the younger crowd, but it's still fun to visit all the different stations. This one could be time consuming if you wanted it to be (we do it very casually and it doesn't take up any time.)

Agent P is super fun - but we are big Phineas and Ferb fans so we are likely biased! We've explored countries in the WS in depth thanks to that game - which is really cool. Each country you choose to do takes 20-30 minutes - you can't really speed it up, but you can take your time and you certainly don't have to do ALL the countries (we usually do 1 or 2).

We tend to do Sorcerers of the MK in the morning - I think evening would good as well. I think it could get too busy in the afternoon. We've done Agent P and Wilderness Explorers all day.

You can dedicate as much time to them as you want, except Agent P will take 20-30 minutes to complete. You can always just stop doing any of them any time you want. Try and see if you have fun, quit if you don't. They are very casual.

You start Sorcerers of the MK at one of the places where you pick up your cards - the fire station or a place in Liberty Square, I believe. Wilderness Explorers have a kiosk as you enter AK. Agent P stations are located at the entrance to and around the World Showcase. You can drop your Agent P phone off at any of the stations when you are done.

I agree that they are pretty fun, but can be a time sink if busy. They will usually try to guide you to start in an area that is less crowded at that time, but you can usually request where you want to start. With Agent P it will be a country, SOTMK will be one of the lands. They are certainly worth trying, and if you aren't into it you can just stop.

My boys (12 & 14) really enjoy Sorcerer's.

Each day that you go into the MK everyone in your party can get a pack of "playing" cards. You also need a "key" card.

There are a few options for the "key" card:

You can get one "key" card for the family. (We did this on our first few trips.) Our boys would take turns using the key..........this kept us on the same adventure and had us going to the same portals. Sometimes we would go straight to the next portal, sometimes we would go ride rides or eat and then stop at the portal when we came to it. It doesn't have to consume your day, you can stop to play when it's convenient for you.

OR----Each person in your party can get a "key" card.........this key card will take you on your adventure.....but every key card will have a different adventure so you will all find yourselves going to different portals to continue your games. You may need to do a lot of backtracking to get everyone through their adventure. (If you start in Fantasyland you will stay in Fantasyland for that adventure but you may not all be headed to the same portal at the same time.)

On our trip in November (both boys had their own key card) we went to MK on a busy Saturday with the intention of just playing SOTMK. We weren't going to wait in long lines for rides we were just going to take it slow. My DH and I found ourselves in Frontierland, sitting in rocking chairs, enjoying Dole Whips while the boys (12 & 14) were running around frontierland to all the different portals. They passed by us a few times because they both had a key card and they had to keep backtracking for each other, but they had fun.

Of course after the Frontierland adventure was over they both got sent onto their next adventure...... One was in Fantasyland, one was on Main Street.
