Sopranos Tonight!

How many people died in last nights show ? The most in one shot im sure.

I think Tony is dead. I HOPE IM WRONG !!!!!

Well, I think he said something about Pu$$y Malanga. He thought Tony was an old enemy, Pu$$y Malanga, who is dead, Uncle Junior thinks this guy is stalking him and stole $40,000 from him, which is why Tony and Junior were digging up the yard looking for it. That's where Junior thinks he buried it.

Did any of you catch what Junior said when he shot Tony? It sounded Italian.

He said the name of the guy he had been talking about all episode...in his dementia, he must've thought he was shooting him, not T.

As far as the sushi. I think it was symbolic of the "new Tony"...last season no one wanted to be him, he was trying to be the boss and had little support, problems with the other "families" problems at home. Now, everyone wants to be Tony. He has the life, he's the top dog, the finances are good (He & Carm were saying "what a year!") THe sushi place was to show how they are separate from the old gang at Artie's, etc. Above them. Something new that no one else is part of.

...Notice Vito kept foreshadowing the shooting "we don't know where Tony will be in 2 years..."

SOOOOO GOOD....

What if Tony is in a coma while the rest of the family tries to position themselves? I think that would be really interesting. I think that Uncle June does have dementia. But, what if that is all an act? I thought so in the last season, but after last night - I don't really think that anymore.

If only poor Gene had waited another day- whether Tony survives or not, he probably would have had enough hope to stick around a little longer to see if things changed so he could get to Florida!

I think Tony survives but in a coma so life has to adjust as if he's gone but it really can't change too much because he's not really gone! Can't wait to see what really happens next!

UGH!

I'm not going to share it here, but I figured out what happens to Tony. :guilty: I went back to watch the episode again on On Demand, and there was a special "making of season 6" thing on, so I watched it. They had scenes from future episodes.

I wish I didn't know! Darn it! I hate when I do that. Same thing as flipping through to the end of the book. I never want to know the end, but I always go to the end of the book.

That sushi place is in my hometown! My family eats there all the time (and it really is as good as Tony and Carmela say).

I thought they said the name of it (Nori's) while inside the place...but everyone thought I was nuts until they showed the exterior shot and there it was!

I don't even want to know! I'm staying off the spoiler sites! Must not go to the spoiler sites! I think we all know deep down inside that Tony isn't going to make it out alive, not this season. At least that's what I think.

Tony may be out of commision for a couple shows but he will not die. He is the show. If you watch previews of up coming shows he is shown in them. I think this was meant to show how the family is going to change during his absence. I think the actor that plays uncle Junior is great! He plays the part so well. I love this show.

That scene was hilarious to me; when Tony says to the neighbor, "Did the moles get your sprinklers?" Between that and Bobby with the trains and the engineer's hat. :rotfl2:

I am SO glad that I stayed spoiler free; and it wasn't easy the big spoilers were everywhere! I totally did not see it coming that Uncle June was going to shoot Tony. My husband saw it coming though. When Tony was making the pasta and calls up to Uncle June, he said to me, "he's upstairs getting a gun." Talk about spot on!

I can't believe that was the FIRST episode; it had so much stuff in it that it was more like a finale! I can't wait for next week.

I said the same thing to my DH, it was more like a season cliffhanger!!

Ok, I love this show. Last night was one of the best episodes IMO.

While I felt bad for the guy who hung himself, he should have known better then to ask to retire. And what is with all the mob wife's complaining? Did they not know what they were getting into when they married these guys?

Loving this season so far and I don't think they can kill Tony and still carry this show. Remember there are 8 more episodes next year. He can't die....at least right now.

He said what translates to "Die Malanga". I don't know the Italian word for 'die', but DH, who speaks Italian, told me that's what it means.

Wasn't Gene made the same time Christopher was? He's been around a while.
