Sopranos Tonight!

Yes, it was so sad see that guy get turned down by tony to move his family to ft myers (where my in laws live!) and then to find out his son is a drug user, and then is also is a rat for the feds, I guess he figured there was no other way out. such a horrible scene!
I thought the scene of Tony weighing himself was hysterical, first he gets on the scale, then takes his shoes off, then his belt, all the time i was saying "thats me!"
looking forward to next weeks show.

I felt bad for Gene too, that was a tough scene to watch! I was surprised to see him in the car with the Feds......I wonder who else is doing the same thing?

I was laughing at the Tony "weigh in" too because I do the same thing, take off as many things as you can that might add on extra weight! :rotfl2:

All I can say is, Tony better not be dead!!!

This is what I read in People: "...Then comes a violent twist. Let's just say it's plausible, shocking, ironic and with a weird undercurrent on pathos. Do not miss. The problem with this wrenching development is that the aftershocks swamp the next few episodes..."

It also states that Vito Spatafore has an "increased hunger for power".

Wonder how all of this is going to play out?

Yeah, Soprano's is back!!1 :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I doubt Tony dies. Or, I really hope he doesn't, because that would suck and none of the other characters are interesting enough to carry the show for another 19 episodes. Good episode.

I was in shock after that epsiode. Crazy!

Tony sure has a lot of enemies now.

What's w/the sushi, some deep psycho babble/oral gratification thing I'm not getting????

Last 15 min. redeemed the episode IMO. Think they should make all teenagers watch the hanging scene, might cut down on suicides - disturbing.

The Rolling Stone tattoo needs to be covered up - quickly!ewwww, enough w/her charactar development, I get it already!

Yeah, it was a little TMI for me! I think the sushi restaurant is just supposed to be their special place - where they exist only to each other. She was pretty ticked off when he went there by himself LOL.

Loved the show!

I thought Carmela with her showing off her new car was funny at the end when her friend said that her new Corvette was in her name, and made Carmela mad.

I also felt really bad for the guy who hung himself, that was a gruesome scene.
.....

They showed the tattoo because everyone realized right away, without seeing her face, that it was Janice.

WHAT.....................no previews of next week!!!! Whats up with that!!!! I need my previews!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they had no previews of next week to keep us in suspense! If we saw Tony walking around and doing his regular stuff, then we would know he wasn't hurt that bad. I think they make us want to tune in even more next week without a preview!!

Loved it. Didn't know how they were going to catch us up but they did. I got confused when they showed Carm at Johnny Sacks house and then with Big P's wife...but, I kept going. Middle of the show did slow down but OMG. I love Tony! I keep watching it and going "I met him" (when they were filming around here - such a nice guy IRL). And, doesn't every woman do what he did on that scale?!?

:rotfl2: Only when I'm pregnant! Maybe Johnny Sack's wife decided not to go. :confused3

I watched avidly from start to finish. I thought the sushi thing was a way of replacing sex. I remember last season when they show Carm slipping off her negligee with a very sensuous look on her face only to see her get in bed with the drawings for her house. Something tells me that although Carm is back with Tony, not everything is good everywhere.

Everyone here is so insightful because I couldn't figure out why Carm was mad or perturbed. It didn't dawn on me that while Carm is driving the Porsche, it's probably not really "hers". Very good insight there!!

I thought the suicide scene was extremely disturbing becuase it looked like he was changing his mind as he kept grabbing and his neck, but then that might just be a natural survival reaction too?? Gene's wife is going to feel terrible. She wanted to go to Florida so bad, but I don't think she wanted Gene to die so she could go. I could see the resignation on his face in the Fed's car. That woman Fed really irks me... she's so cold! Ack!!

And subconsciously, I think Carm knows that Adriana is dead. The way she just faded away in her dream. Just another one of those downsides to the mob life that Carm goes into denial over.

Great first episode...

Wow, that was insane. I always wondered why Tony hated his mother for trying to have him killed but he acted as if it was fine for Uncle Junior to do!

I don't think he tryed to kill "Tony"... I think dementia (sp?) is really setting in.

In the early seasons, Tony's Mother and Uncle Junior conspired to have Tony killed. For some reason, he doesn't really blame Uncle Junior for that. I think he knows that it's the nature of the beast, just like he had to kill his own cousin. But for your Mom to put a hit out on ya, now that's just downright mean!!

:lmao:

Did any of you catch what Junior said when he shot Tony? It sounded Italian.
