Can you believe this? At 7:15 am, Mickey calls us AGAIN to ask for help with Stitch!! That little booger got loose in the MK for the 2nd time during our trip. Whoever is in charge of that alien had better do some job searching, seriously...
So we are up and out the door by 8:00am. We stopped by the store at POR for some Advil. As soon as I downed 4 of those babies, I was feeling AGES better! We hopped on a bus to the TTC and grabbed a monorail to the Poly.
Standard Poly lobby shot:
We were seated in Kona by 8:50! It wasn't crowded AT ALL!
The morning was starting out fantastically!! And it only got better. Since we weren't next door at O'Hana's, we weren't sure if we were going to be able to get the famous juice from there. Wouldn't hurt to ask, would it? NOT AT ALL! Because they had it! And in case you're wondering... it's called LILIKOI JUICE!!
Here is Matt... just beside himself with joy for the lilikoi!
I had my 1st coffee of the trip this morning... pure bliss!!
What to order.. what to order... DUH!!! No brainer here.. I asked for the famous Tonga Toast I've heard so much about. Matt ordered steak and eggs. I swear, I thought the man was going to turn into a cow. He had SO much steak on this trip! My deepest apologies to any vegetarians on board...
So, here are a few shots of the TToast.. holy cow... it was AMAZING!!
At first arrival:
A view of the inside.. those are bananas in there, folks:
And Matt's boring, but delicious fare:
The meal was great, our server was fabulous, the atmosphere was top-notch... and to top it off, they surprised us with an anniversary dessert:
Here we are just on
(Lesley, how do you like Matt's shirt?)
Don't ask me how I ate even more sweetness after devouring that Tonga Toast, but I made it happen!!
We will DEFINITELY visit Kona again. Just loved it!
Next stop was AK. We had to wait 10 full minutes to get on the bus... why? They had to load 2 scooters. TWO! Now, I hope I don't offend anyone here...

I completely feel for families that have loved ones on scooters or wheelchairs. If I ever get to take my mom back to WDW, she will be on one for sure. BUT... Matt and I were talking about if WE were travelling with a
scooter... we'd drive to the parks. I don't know.. it just takes up SO much time to get those things on and off the buses. I would feel TERRIBLE making everyone wait for me or my loved one. But that's me, I guess. Flame away!
We got to AK in time for the FotLK show. We were disappointed that the lead "big guy" wasn't there that day, but his back up turned out to be pretty darned good. The lead lady was amazing as always, and so was the show. By far, the monkey scene is my favorite.. second place.. the vocal talent of those 4 lead singers... My mouth was open for most of the show!!
Next stop, single rider line for EE. I rode twice in a row (Matt could only handle it once... wimp!) The 2nd time around, I was with an older gentleman from PA. Turns out he'd never ridden before. Um... cute old man.. do you know this is a roller coaster? No.. he didn't... he got on the ride and had no idea what it was!!

Turns out he loved it. Thank goodness! I was hoping I wasn't witness to a heart attack or something!!
EE shots for you:
We were craving NEMO... just craving it!! We wanted to be there at 1 to try to get front-ish row seats, but still had over an hour to kill. We sat and soaked in the sun and atmosphere, then headed to the shops to BROWSE... yes, BROWSE only. As we were looking around, we heard an awesome groove going on outside and decided to check it out. We stumbled on these guys:
They were just groovin' out there. We watched for a few minutes.. then Matt realized he knew some of the guys out there!
This guy marched with Matt in Phantom Regiment Cadets (drum and bugle corps)
This guy named Rich marched with Matt in Star of Indiana (drum and bugle corps).
Rich stayed after and come up to Matt to say hi (We're not sure if they other guy recognized Matt or not. They were VERY young when they marched together!) Rich talked with us for almost a half hour. It was neat to hear about his Disney career and how much he loves working there. He's been there 18 years!
Maharajah jungle trek? Why the heck not:
It was finally time for NEMO~

As soon as we arrived near the theatre, they were already letting people in. We snagged AWESOME seats in the center, front section, on the aisle.
WARNING>>>GRIPE ALERT<<<
I arrived at the Nemo show almost an hour ahead of time to get the seat I wanted. Then the ushers come around 10 minutes before the show is going to start and try to shove us in toward the ramp on the stage (which makes it impossible to see if you're sitting right next to it). Now, I'd be happy to let people past me to sit in there, but I don't want to move! It's not fair that people who waltz in ten minutes before the show get better seats than those of us who have been here for 45 minutes. Know what I'm sayin'?!?! I felt bad because I completely disregarded their requests to scoot in. I figured, if they came over to personally ask me to move, I would politely explain to them that the later arrivals are MORE than welcome to sit in those spots, but I'm staying here, thank you kindly!!
Okay. I'm done. Now.. here's something REALLY funny. I was turned, talking to Matt, when I noticed this young lad sitting in the audience, OBVIOUSLY esctatic to see this show:
I know.. you might not think it's THAT funny... but it took me a few moments to get my camera out. 2 minutes before I took this, that kid's face was just scrunched up into the foulest, teenager-angst-ridden face you could imagine! I could just hear his mom saying, "we are ALL going to see this musical TOGETHER.. and YOU'RE GOING TO LIKE IT!!" It gave me a good laugh, anyway! Matt and I said a prayer that our kids will ALWAYS be excited about seeing things at Disney, even when they're teenagers! (Michelle's kids give me hope!!)
STILL LOVE NEMO!!! Even though there were LOTS of replacements. Nemo and Mr. Ray were the only lead characters that were the same as Saturday. We heard Mondays are big "off" days for lead performers. Oh well.. STILL LOVE NEMO!!!!
Okay... we've done all we came to AK to do... now let's go home, relax, refresh, and get ready for our big anniversary dinner at California Grill!!
By the way.. I had lots of cute smilies to go with my update, but I just had too many pictures.. so... sorry!!
